at the edge due to mechanical and physical restraints.)
N-up, where N number of pages are printed on a single
physical sheet of paper (This is useful for previewing a
document’s layout.)
Watermark and overlay, which print background text across
the first page or every page of the document
Printing on special paper
You can print on letterhead, preprinted paper, prepunched paper,
color paper, and card stock. Check the paper-size requirements on
page 12 and weight requirements on page 11.
At the printer:
1. Insert the special paper into either a tray or the Multi-sheet
Bypass Feeder. For letterhead, preprinted paper, and prepunched
paper, be sure that the special paper is oriented correctly,
depending upon whether you will be printing single-sided or
double-sided.
For Tray 1, 2, 3, or the Custom Paper Tray, see page 16
For Tray 4 or 5, see page 21
For the Multi-sheet Bypass Feeder, see page 24
2. If you changed the type of paper in a tray or the Multi-sheet
Bypass Feeder, use the control panel to select the paper type and
size.
For Tray 1, 2, 3, or the Custom Paper Tray, see page 19
For Tray 4 or 5, see page 22
For the Multi-sheet Bypass Feeder, see page 27
(Trays 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 have paper size sensors, so you don’t need
to specify the paper size.)
