documents of standard sizes. For documents that are not a standard size, input the size in the “Original Size” menu on the User Interface.
7. Limitations The system will automatically clear its own paper path as much as possible, but the operator will need to manually reset the ordered stock. The optional Digital Front Ends/Print Servers for this Copier/Printer are capable of Tab Recovery in the event of a jam using tab media. For ordered stock (such as multi-part forms), this Copier/Printer does not automatically ® recover from jams.
9.1. Optimum Paper Weight per Type Paper type Paper weight (gsm) Thin paper 52 - 63 Plain paper 64 - 105 Heavyweight paper1 Heavyweight paper 2 Recycled paper Used paper Label paper1 Holed paper 106 -216 217 - 253 64 - 105 64 - 105 105 - 176 64 - 105 Note 1: Maximum paper weight for auto duplexing is 216 gsm. Note 2: The printer will run at less than rated speed while running heavy weight paper. 9.2.
9.3. Specialty Paper The manufacturer, storage and quality of specialty paper will affect performance. For example, although this class of copier/printer can run preprinted offset media for overprint applications, the amount of coverage of the preprinted information will affect the reliability for the media to run though the paper path. Long runs with substandard input may result in increased jams and other unexpected results.
9.5. Paper Tray Handling and Supported Paper Types The following table defines standard paper that is recognized by the Integrated Copy and Print Server, regardless of which feeding tray the media comes from. Specific tray specifications are available on the product specifications sheet. Note: Automatic detection is not available for Tray 5; the bypass tray. Automatically Recognized Standard Paper sizes A5 B5 7.25x10.5 (Executive)* A4 A4 8.0x10 8.5x11 8.5x11 8.5x13 8.
11. Production Speeds ® ® The rated speed for the Xerox D110 Copier-Printer and Xerox D125 Copier-Printer are 110 and 125 pages per minute, respectively. These speeds are achievable in optimum conditions using Letter/A4 sized media, long edge feed, and discounting startup delays like warm-up time and time to clear the paper path. Use of finishing features, multiple paper trays and other factors affect the productivity of all printing devices to some degree.
12. Image Quality Image quality perception is subjective and will be affected by ambient lighting conditions. • • • • • • • Like other reproduction processes, there will be some variation of output quality over time. For example: long runs, with high area coverage. Factors contributing to this can include frequency of service and xerographic components. Image quality is strongly influenced by paper surface structure, texture, and color.

Device. However the onboard billing meter (described above) can provide a count of prints regardless of the ® source. Also, the FreeFlow Print Server has the ability to export accounting files for use in other accounting applications. Scan operations are not exported to accounting applications via the FID. 16. Integration with Color (Insertion of Color Pages) Output from color xerographic printers should not be run through the printing path (fuser) of this family of Copier/Printers.
17.2. Service Engineer Replaceable Units (ERUs) In addition to customer consumables, the product is designed with a drum cartridge that is ordered and ® installed by Xerox Customer Service Engineers. A message displayed on the machine will indicate when it is time to replace an ERU. Service Engineers Replaceable Units (ERUs); yield estimates may vary based on paper size ERU Drum Cartridge Part Number 13R00666 Qty per Box 1 Yield Estimate 500,000 prints 17.3.
Other Accessories and Kits • Job Based Accounting (JBA) Kit - allows 3rd party software packages to extract certain accounting information (data) from the Xerox 41XX. This kit is enabled by the CSE via a software key. This new feature enables job data from the internal auditron to be pulled over the network connection to an external workstation where it can be processed by a third-party application for accounting purposes.
• Ceramic-tiled floors (Mobility/floor plates may not be required for some ceramic-tiled floors; work with the Xerox personnel to determine whether or not mobility/floor plates should be used) • In areas where the surface restricts the movement of the machine Mobility plates also may be used in situations where the weight of machine is distributed over a larger area versus the point loads associated with the casters.
® If a customer decides to install an anti-virus product on FreeFlow PRINT SERVER, they are responsible for maintaining updates to the product. If system reliability and performance issues are subsequently reported, Xerox will request the product be removed and the problem replicated, before attempting to diagnose or troubleshoot the problem. 19.2.
PDF (Portable Document File) are a standard in today’s industry. The same variations that can slow your production for a native file apply to PDFs as well. It is always best to optimize the PDF by flattening any layers. Always read the full documentation and understand how PDFs affect color paths with the print engine. Adobe has several literatures available on PDF creation such as How to Create the Perfect PDF, and Designer's Guide to Transparency for Print Output.

printers are in power saver mode, power to the control panel and fuser unit is reduced to save energy. The display will turn off but the Power Saver button on the control panel will be lit indicating the machine is in Power Saver mode. The Power Saver feature includes two modes: • • Low Power mode: Power consumption is reduced to approximately 120 watts. It will take about 45 seconds to warm up the printers when exiting Low Power mode. Sleep mode: Power consumption is reduced approximately 13 watts.
20.8. Software Replacement If lost, or misplaced, replacement software and documentation is available to be purchased. For the United States you can access through Software Services web site www.xdss.com. If you reside outside the United ® ® States, kindly work with your local Xerox Supplies Specialist. Xerox personnel may not be able to provide services unless these materials are available. 20.9. Print File Creation There are several factors that affect the creation of a proper output file.
• Microsoft Windows 7, 2000, 2003, XP and Vista full-featured drivers 20.13. Printing Services ® The Xerox EX Print Server supports the following printing services: • • • • • • • • LPD (Line Printer Daemon) — Allows printing in TCP/IP networks using an LPR client and supporting RFC 1179, the Berkeley LPR protocol. Supports direct socket interface via port 9100. PAP (Printer Access Protocol)— Allows printing in AppleTalk networks.
20.18. Client If you experience slow printing from Windows 2000 using the Standard TCP/IP Port, contact Microsoft Product Support. For more information on this issue, see Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 816627, which is described at support.microsoft.com. 20.19. • • • • Command Workstation ® Job Management must be performed from the Xerox EX Print Server user interface instead of the printers interface.
