The Xerox customized PostScript printer drivers are used by
Windows applications to program Xerox job ticket information
and create a PostScript printer file. These drivers provide full
support of the Xerox job ticket and all of the features of the
supported Xerox printers.
Follow this procedure to install the Xerox custom printer
drivers for Windows NT.
1. Insert the Xerox Production Print Services (XPPS) version
3.7x software CD ROM into the CD ROM drive on your
PC. The installation program starts automatically.
Depending on your system, this may take a few seconds.
2. On the Choose Language screen, select the language in
which the XPPS screens will be displayed.
3. On the About XPPS window, select [Main Menu].
4. From the Main Menu, select [Install XPPS].
NOTE: The installation program automatically detects
which version of Windows is available
5. On the Windows NT installation screen, select [Install
Xerox Printer Drivers].
6. The next window gives the location of the printer
information that is required for installation of the drivers.
Read the instructions on the screen and note the directory
location of the driver file, then select [Continue with
Install].
7. On the window that opens, select [My computer], then
select [Next].
8. Select an existing port if you are upgrading the drivers, or
add a port if this is a new installation.
9. If you are adding a new port, select [Configure Port], then
configure the new port as appropriate for your network
environment.
10.Select [Next]. A list of supported printers is displayed.
11.Select [Have Disk]. The Install from Disk window opens.
12.On the Install from Disk window, browse to the CD drive.
Locate the following directory (the location that you were
instructed to note in step 6):
Win_nt40\Xeroxdrv\Enu
