Safety Notices The Xerox DocuColor 2240/1632 and the recommended supplies have been designed and tested to meet strict safety requirements. Attention to the following notes will ensure the continued safe operation of your printer/copier. Electrical Safety • Use only the power cord supplied with this equipment. • Plug the power cord directly into a correctly grounded electrical outlet. Do not use an extension cord. If you do not know whether or not an outlet is grounded, consult a qualified electrician.
SAFETY NOTICES • If any of the following conditions occur, immediately switch off the power to the machine and disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet. Call an authorized Xerox service representative to correct the problem. – The machine emits unusual noises or odors. – The power cord is damaged or frayed. – A wall panel circuit breaker, fuse, or other safety device has been tripped. – Liquid is spilled into the press. – The machine is exposed to water.

The use of supplies that are not approved may cause poor performance of the press, and could create a dangerous condition. • Use the supplies and cleaning materials only as directed in this manual. Keep all of these materials out of the reach of children.
