The Tag Tester performs the following functions:

• Reads the unique ID of a tag, by generating an RF field (Tag In Field – TIF).

• Tests the Tamper mechanism of a tag (Tag Initiated Communications – TIC).

• Reads the battery status for the tag (Good or bad only).

980-000010-000R1.01 eLink Tag Tester - User Guide 4 Tag Tester Operation Approximately 2 seconds after power up Hold down the “Accept” button for one second Press “Accept” for testing a tag The Tester automatically powers down after 60 seconds of inactivity. Pressing the “Cancel” button for 3 seconds also turns off the unit. Tag Tester 9V Battery low condition is reported on the display for 2 seconds, after which the screen will revert back to the previous function.
