Topic: Startup operations DE Replacement instructions: Startup operations Usage of the remote control Before the first usage please remove the isolation plate. 1. Remove the battery compartment: push it to the left first, then pull it out. Aim the remote control at the IR receiver on the front operating panel. The IR receiver should not be blocked. 2. Remove the old battery and insert the new one (CR-2025 Lithium). As soon as the remote control does not work proper the battery should be replaced.

Insert a micro SD card into the slot with the label side to the right and the pin side to the left. Make sure that the card is intact and dirt-free. Topic: Basic functions DE Loudness The "Loudness" function boosts BASS and TREBLE frequencies to achieve more voluminous sound. To activate this function: 1. Press the Rotary button or the SEL button on the remote control several times till you see the prompt "LOUOF" on the screen. 2. Now rotate the rotary button one step forwards. It appears the promt "LOUON" on the screen - the LOUDNESS function is active. You can also use for that the button VOL- / VOL+ on the remote control.

Here you can make your adjustments regarding audio playback, time, date etc.
Topic: Theft protection DE Theft protection Notes You can avoid breaking into your car by not leaving inside the vehicle any expensive or otherwise attractive objects. The XOMAX car radio unit is provided with a detachable control panel. Each time you leave the car for a relative long time detach the panel and take it with you. In this case the unit would be useless for a potential car thief. Detaching the panel A Press the 0 release-button on the panel to unfix it. B Swing the panel down.
Topic: Theft protection DE Attaching the panel Before attaching the panel, please ensure that there are no soilings or dust on the contact surface. A First insert the holding pin on the left side of the panel into the fixating element on the unit. B Then fit the panel on the right side. Consider hereby the matching of the holding elements. C After fixating the panel on the both sides swing it up to close. D Finally press the whole panel slightly against the unit to click it into place.

Topic: Storage media DE Video format - Best practise ID3 tag (song/interpreter/album) Possible playback problems could be solved using following coding settings, whereby these are only an example: The "ID3 tag" function allows to view the additional track information, e.g. name of the current song/of an artist/of an album. Case. 1 This function is available only during the MP3 files playback; the tags should be stored in these files first.
Topic: Radio mode DE Radio mode Storing the found stations There are 6 memory cells for storing of the found stations per frequency band. To store the current station hold one of the numeric buttons 1-6 pressed for 2 sec. Radio interface current frequency and station name (RDS) indicators current frequency band If the station was stored successfully it's memory cell number appears on the screen.
Topic: Radio mode DE AMS Automatic frequency scan RDS functions Press AMS/MEDIA to start AMS. Please note: the provided RDS functions (AF, TA and PTY) in some countries may be unavailable The unit starts to scan all the frequency bands and to store the found stations with the strongest signals (6 stations per frequency band). PTY function The Programme Type function allows to search for a station according to it's type (e.g. music or education).
Topic: Radio mode DE The AF function switches automatically to alternative radio station as soon as you leave the receiving area of the current station. To active/deactivate the „ AF “ function press the rotary button or the SEL button on the remote several times till the prompt "Adjust AF" appears on the display. Now rotate the button or use the VOL- / VOL+ buttons to turn the function on or off. i We recommend you to deactivate this function in-city.
Topic: USB and SD mode DE USB and SD mode Select the file for playback To step through the file manager use arrow keys of the remote ’“”‘ or 8 / 7 and the rotary button. Switch to playback mode As soon as you either plug an USB flash drive or insert a micro SD card the unit's processor reads the data from the storage medium and the unit switches to playback mode. Confirm your selection by pressing the ENTER button or the rotary button .

OSD infomation Press the OSD button on the remote to display the OSD information. Press it repeatedly to switch between the diverse OSD information or finally to hide it.

OSD Image information Press the OSD button on the remote to display the OSD information. Press it repeatedly to switch between the diverse OSD information or finally to hide it.

AUX input The AUX input is a 3,5 mm jack plug on the front operating panel. Topic: Hand-free phone call DE Hand-free phone call End / Reject a call Press SRC/U after the conversation to end a call or by incoming call to reject it. Common information This unit contains a Bluetooth feature "hand-free phone call" which allows to make your phone calls hand-free via integrated microphone and loudspeakers. Phone book As soon as you switch to BT mode on the screen appears a phone book. It should be imported from your cell phone first.
Topic: Bluetooth music DE Bluetooth music Common information The "Bluetooth music" feature allows to play the music from the external device of your choice (cellphone, smartphone, tablet PC) via car radio speakers. The device should support the A2DP service.. Start Bluetooth music Press the SRC/U or MODE button on the remote several times till the bluetooth music interface appears on the screen. Now load the playback program on the external device and start the playback.

DE For problem-solving regarding the radio reception it is important to know the type of the antenna of your vehicle. Here are the possible solutions for each type of the antenna: Type 1 – passive antenna: We recommend you to substitude the existing antenna by the larger and therefore more efficient one. Shark fin or rod antennas (under 5 cm) are definitely insufficient.
