BAND EDGE BEEPER
The FT-2800M will automatically “beep” when the receiver’s band edge is encountered
during scanning (either in standard VFO scanning or during PMS operation). You may ad-
ditionally enable this feature (band edge beeper) when the frequency reaches the band edge
while selecting the VFO frequency manually, using the DIAL knob.
The procedure for enabling the Band-Edge Beeper (during manual tuning) is:
1. Press and hold in the
[
MHz
(
SET
)]
key for one second, then rotate the DIAL knob to
select “12 EDG BP.”
2. Press the
[
MHz
(
SET
)]
key, then rotate the DIAL knob to set this Menu item to “ON.”
3. Press and hold in the
[
MHz
(
SET
)]
key for one second to save the new setting and exit to
normal operation.
