Install Latch

Insert latch in hole keeping it parallel to face of door.

Mark outline and remove latch.

Chisel 1/8" (3.2mm) deep or until latch face is ﬂush

with door edge.

Insert latch in hole keeping it parallel to face of door.

Mark two (2) fastener holes, remove latch and drill pilot

holes with 1/16" (1.6mm) drill bit.

Using provided screws, install latch.

Note: For drive-in latch, drill hole size indicated on

template and press latch until it is ﬂush with door edge.

Install Strike

Place template against ﬂat of latchbolt and close

door. Mark template for strike opening from

edge of jamb. Move 1/4" (6mm) for plain latch

and 3/4" (19mm) for deadlatch toward door

stop to locate centerline for screws and 1"

(25mm) hole.

Bore 1" (25mm) hole 1/2" (13mm) minimum

deep into door jamb on centerline of screws.

Match screw holes on strike with centerline on

jamb. Outline outside edges of strike. Mortise

1/16" (1.6mm) deep.

Using provided screws, install strike. If strike box

is required, mount under strike as shown.

Drive-in Latch

Press
