8. Install the muffler screen and muffler cap, and

then tighten the muffler cap bolt.

9. Install the muffler cover and tighten the muffler

cover screws.

Muffler cap bolt tightening torque:

3.5 Nm (0.35 m·kgf, 2.5 ft·lbf)

Fuel tank filter

WARNING

Never use gasoline while smoking or in the vicini-

ty of an open flame.

1. Remove the fuel tank cap and fuel tank filter.

2. Clean the fuel tank filter with gasoline.

Replace it if damaged.

3. Wipe the fuel tank filter and insert it.

4. Install the fuel tank cap.

WARNING

Be sure the fuel tank cap is tightened securely.
