Supplied items Preparing the remote control Peel off the protection sheet before use. Make sure you have received all of the following items. Installation The orientation of the sound bar and the appropriate remote control sensor depend on the installation location. Installing the sound bar on a TV cabinet, etc. Attaching the sound bar to a wall 1 Slide the installation position selector switch on the bottom panel of the sound bar to the W (for Wall mount) side. The sound quality appropriate to the installation will be set. 2 Following “How to install on the wall” below, install the sound bar so that the keys face upwards.
Connections Connect to a TV (or other peripheral device). Sound bar (rear) CAUTIONS • Do not connect the power cable of the sound bar to the AC wall outlet before making connections. • Do not use excessive force when inserting the cable plug. Digital connection of an external device You can connect an external device that has a coaxial digital audio output, such as a DVD player, to the BD/DVD input jack of the sound bar. Analog connection of an external device (game console) You can connect an external device, such as a game console or TV that does not have a digital audio output, to the ANALOG input jack of the sound bar. Listening to the sound from a Bluetooth device You can play back wirelessly from Bluetooth devices, such as a smartphone or digital music player. See also the operating manual of the Bluetooth device for more details. Pairing a Bluetooth device with the sound bar When connecting to a Bluetooth device for the first time, “pairing” between the device and sound bar is required. “Pairing” is necessary for each Bluetooth device you use.
Playing back audio from a Bluetooth device on the sound bar 1 With the sound bar turned on, press the BLUETOOTH key on the sound bar’s remote control to select Bluetooth as the input source. The BLUETOOTH indicator on the top panel flashes. Using the Bluetooth standby mode The Bluetooth standby mode allows you to turn on (or off) the sound bar automatically, linked with the operation of the Bluetooth device.
Settings NOTE • Steps 5 to 8 require only the TV’s remote control and the keys on the rear panel of the sound bar. The remote control of the sound bar is not necessary. • If the sound bar has already learned functions, the following indicators light up.
6 Teach the sound bar the “Volume (–)” code of the TV’s remote control. 6-1 Press (volume -) on the rear panel of the sound bar. 6-2 While pointing your TV’s remote control at the remote control sensor, hold down the volume (–) key for more than 1 second twice or three times. Clearing all programmed functions 1 With the sound bar turned off, hold down the LEARN key on the sound bar’s remote control for more than 3 seconds (for entering the learning mode). Using an external subwoofer The sound bar has dual built-in subwoofers; however you can connect an external subwoofer when you want to enhance low frequency sound. Connect a subwoofer to the SUBWOOFER OUT jack of the sound bar. Sound is output from both the built-in subwoofers and external subwoofer.
Setting the auto power standby function By enabling the auto power standby function, you can avoid forgetting to turn off the sound bar after use, or if you fall asleep while watching TV. NOTE • When the auto power standby function is enabled and one of the following conditions is met, the sound bar will automatically turn off. − No operations for 8 hours − No audio input and no operations for 20 minutes when BLUETOOTH is selected as the input source.
Troubleshooting Refer to the table below when the sound bar does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instructions below do not help, turn off the sound bar, disconnect the power cable, and contact the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center. First, check the following: A The power cables of the sound bar, TV and playback devices (such as BD players) are connected to AC wall outlets securely.

Tecla (encendido) 4 Enciende o apaga (espera) la barra de sonido. Encendida Tecla BASS EXTENSION 6 Activa/desactiva la función de ampliación de graves. Cuando esta función está habilitada, puede disfrutar de unos graves potentes con la tecnología de refuerzo de graves original de Yamaha “Advanced Bass Extension Processing”. Tecla MUTE 7 Silencia la salida de audio. Vuelva a pulsar la tecla para desactivar el silencio.
Escuchar sonido de un dispositivo Bluetooth Puede reproducir contenidos de forma inalámbrica utilizando dispositivos Bluetooth, como smartphones o reproductores de música digitales. Consulte también el manual de instrucciones del dispositivo Bluetooth para obtener más información. Emparejado de un dispositivo Bluetooth con la barra de sonido Cuando se conecta a un dispositivo Bluetooth por primera vez, el “emparejado” entre el dispositivo y la barra de sonido es un proceso obligatorio.
Reproducción del audio desde un dispositivo Bluetooth en la barra de sonido Uso del modo de espera Bluetooth 1 1 Con la barra de sonido encendida, pulse el botón BLUETOOTH en el mando a distancia de la barra de sonido para seleccionar Bluetooth como fuente de entrada. Parpadea el indicador BLUETOOTH del panel superior. 2 El modo de espera Bluetooth permite activar o desactivar la barra de sonido automáticamente, una operación asociada al funcionamiento del dispositivo Bluetooth.
Ajustes NOTA Programar la barra de sonido con el mando a distancia del TV (función de memorización de mando a distancia de TV) Una vez programada la barra de sonido, puede usar el mando a distancia del TV para controlar sus funciones, como encender y apagar el TV y la barra de sonido a la vez o subir y bajar el volumen o activar o desactivar el silenciamiento de la barra de sonido. • Esta función solo está disponible si el mando a distancia del TV utiliza señales infrarrojas.
6 Memorice en la barra de sonido el código de “Volumen (–)” del mando a distancia del TV. 8 Memorice en la barra de sonido el código de “Encendido” del mando a distancia del TV. 6-1 Pulse (volumen –) en el panel trasero de la barra de sonido. 8-1 Pulse 6-2 Apuntando el mando a distancia del televisor hacia el sensor del mando a distancia, mantenga pulsada la tecla de volumen (–) durante más de 1 segundo dos o tres veces.
Borrado de todas las funciones programadas 1 Con la barra de sonido apagada, mantenga pulsado el botón LEARN en el mando a distancia de la barra de sonido durante más de 3 segundos (para acceder al modo de memorización). Cuando la barra de sonido está en el modo de memorización, los indicadores del panel superior parpadean tal y como se muestra a continuación.
Configuración de la función de espera automática Si activa la función de espera automática, por fin podrá olvidarse de apagar la barra de sonido después de usarla, aunque se quede dormido delante del TV. NOTA • Con la función de espera automática activada y si se cumple una de las condiciones siguientes, la barra de sonido se apagará automáticamente. − No se ha realizado ninguna operación en 8 horas.
Resolución de problemas Consulte la tabla inferior cuando la barra de sonido no funcione correctamente. Si el problema que tiene no aparece en la lista a continuación, o si las instrucciones no le sirven de ayuda, apague la barra de sonido, desenchufe el cable de alimentación y póngase en contacto con un centro Yamaha de atención al cliente o concesionario autorizado.
