Operation section
• To use a serial port connection, you will need to sep-
arately provide driver software appropriate for your
system.
• If you are using an NEC PC-9801/9821 series com-
puter, the TO HOST setting (TO HOST PC1 or TO
HOST PC2) will depend on the driver software you
are using. For details refer to the manual for your
software.
• If you are connecting a Macintosh, you must set the
MIDI interface setting of your application to 1 MHz.
• If you want to transmit MTC from the AW2816 to
your computer, we recommend that you separately
obtain a MIDI interface, and connect the AW2816’s
MTC OUT connector to the MIDI IN of your MIDI
interface. Although it is not impossible to output
MTC from the TO HOST connector, this will mean
that MTC and other MIDI messages will be carried
on the same cable, and the timing precision will not
be as good.
