3 Setting up iXOS-JUKEMAN
3.1 Introduction
iXOS-JUKEMAN must be set up before you can start and use the soft-
ware. The following sections will tell you how to:
Set up license keys. This section may be skipped if you have no li-
cense keys and want to test the software in demo mode.
Set up caches and buffers. Setting up a directory cache will improve
the overall performance of the server. Setting up this cache pays off as
soon as a new jukebox is attached to the server.
Set up devices. This sections tells you how to configure device de-
scription files which allows you to access the disks in your jukeboxes,
drives and so on.
Set up views. Here you learn how to set up the presentation of the
iXOS-JUKEMAN file system. By default iXOS-JUKEMAN sets up two
views, which export all disks in both PC format and Rock Ridge format.
Intregrate iXOS-JUKEMAN into the network. This section describes
how to set up both the server side and the client side of iXOS-
JUKEMAN, allowing all clients to access the disks they need.
