Determining the firmware version of the CRW6416S drive

(in Windows 95/98)

Go to Control Panel | System | Device Manager tab, double-click on CDROM, then

double-click on Yamaha CRW6416S.

LED Indicator Messages

Status ON/DISC LED READ/WRITE LED

Power on (reset)

Ready (no disc)

Loading disc

Ejecting disc

Ready (disc loaded)

Seeking

Preparing to write

Writing

Writing (test mode)

Reading
