7 The connection procedures are completed at step 6. Use the application on your iPhone/iPad
to communicate with your instrument.
NOTE Some applications need the appropriate setting to communicate with the instrument. For details, refer to the
relevant application manuals.
Connecting by the Access Point Mode
When the available access point cannot be found, you can use your instrument as an access point and
connect it to the iPhone/iPad directly (via peer-to-peer Wireless LAN). Please note that when your
instrument is set to Access Point mode, no Internet access is available on your iPhone/iPad, limiting part
of their functions, such as mailing and searching.
NOTE Only the instrument which has the Access Point Mode function can become an access point.
Determine the settings below referring the Owner’s Manual of your instrument.
1 Set the instrument to the Access Point mode.
In the default setting, your instrument is set to Infrastructure mode. Select Access Point mode in the
display for selecting the wireless LAN mode.
2 If necessary, set the SSID, Security, Password, and Channel.
When you are using more than one instrument, set a different SSID and channel for each instrument
to avoid interference.
3 Save the settings.
Now your instrument is available as an access point. Proceed to step 6 on page 12.
