3 Use the [7UD] (Play Setting) buttons to call up the Play Setting window.
4 Use the [6UD] (Right) buttons to turn off the right-hand part, and then use the
[8
UD] buttons to close the window.
The right-hand part is muted and the Guide for the right-hand part is enabled. You can now
play that part by yourself.
NOTE
If necessary, use the [4UD] (Extra) buttons to mute the extra parts.
Usually, channel 1 is assigned to the right-hand part and channel 2 is assigned to the left-hand part, but you can
change which channel is assigned to each part via [MENU] Cursor buttons [
U][D][L][R] Song Setting, [ENTER]
TAB [R] Setting Cursor button [
U] 1 Part Channel.
5 Press the SONG [R/K] (Play/Pause) button to start playback.
Practice the right-hand part while viewing the Score display. The playback of the left and extra
parts will wait for you to play the notes correctly.
6 After your practice, turn the [GUIDE] button off.
For left-handed practice:
Turn off the left-hand part by using the [5UD] (Left) buttons.
For both-handed practice:
Turn off both right- and left-hand parts by using the [6UD] (Right) and [5UD] (Left) buttons.
Make sure to turn the [ACMP] button off when practicing the Left part, otherwise the Guide function
for the Left part does not work.
Other Guide functions
In addition to the Follow Lights function explained above, there are more functions in the Guide features, for
practicing the timing of playing the keys (Any Key), for Karaoke or for practicing a Song at your own pace (Yo u r
Te mp o ). This can be selected in the display called up via [MENU] → Cursor buttons [U][D][L][R] Song Setting,
[ENTER] → TAB [R] Setting → Cursor button [
U] 1 Guide Mode. For more information, refer to the Reference
