Configuring a Wi-Fi access point
Configure your Wi-Fi access point according to the user's manual of each device. Your wireless access point
should not require any special settings. However, we recommend applying a security protocol such as WPA
to prevent unauthorized access to the network.
Refer to the following to make the settings.
1 Assign a name to your Wi-Fi network (also called an SSID).
2 Select a security protocol (ex: WPA) and a password.
3 Select a wireless mode and band (ex: 802.11n 2.4 GHz).
4 If supported, enable Auto Channel Selection.
This allows the wireless access point to automatically select the wireless channel with the
least amount of interference.
NOTE
Using multiple external antennas makes communications between your iPad and the Wi-Fi access point easier and faster.
