Configuring a static IP address
Follow the steps below to configure your iPad to use a static IP address.
1 Open the [Settings] screen on the iPad.
2 Select Wi-Fi and then the network name.
3 Press the blue mark to the right of the current network to open the screen for
editing IP addresses.
4 Select [Configure IP] → [Manual].
5 Set the IP address.
When connecting with AUTO (p.17), enter only the last set of numbers (4th octet) of the IP
address that is included in the IP address of the DM3 Series console.
(For example, if IP address of the DM3 Series console is “192.168.0.128”, enter something like
“192.168.0.127” on the iPad.)
6 Subnet Mask: Enter “255.255.255.0”.
7 Router: Enter the IP address of the Wi-Fi access point.
Typically this is printed on the bottom of the Wi-Fi access point or in its user’s manual.
8 DNS: enter the IP address of the Wi-Fi access point. (Same as in step 7.)
9 When settings are complete, close the [Settings] screen.
