Troubleshooting
WAP/Router DHCP server setup
1 Use a web browser to access your WAP (wireless access point's) web administrator
page.
2 Enable the DHCP server.
3 Configure the range of IP addresses that DHCP can assign.
4 Confirm that the console's IP address is not out of range. If it is within range,
change the IP address.
(For example, If the IP address of the DM3 Series console is 192.168.1.2, set the DHCP range to
192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.128.)
NOTE
Not all WAP are compatible with DHCP. In such case, use an IP address to setup your iPad.
If the DM3 Series console cannot be detected on the SELECT MIXER screen.
If IGMP snooping is enabled on the access point, devices may not be detected correctly. Try turning IGMP
snooping OFF.
Use StageMix in conjunction with DM3 Editor.
Up to a total of 3 devices can be used simultaneously, given they are computers with DM3 Editor installed
and/or iPads with DM3 StageMix installed.
Note, however, that only one computer running DM3 Editor can connect to the console at a time.
Internet connection error messages
When you select a Wi-Fi network using your iPad, it may try to access the Internet. Depending on your Wi-Fi
device (wireless access point/router) the “cannot connect to the Internet” message may be displayed on
your iPad and DM3 StageMix may not be able to connect to the DM3 Series console. An Internet connection is
not needed to connect DM3 StageMix to the DM3 Series console, however, you may need to change the
settings on your Wi-Fi device so this message is no longer displayed. For details on how to change your Wi-Fi
device settings to disable its redirect feature, consult with the maker of your Wi-Fi device.
If you cannot move 4 or more faders at the same time
If the multitasking gestures setting is turned on, you may not be able to move 4 or more faders with StageMix
at the same time.
When using DM3 StageMix, we recommend turning the multitasking gestures feature OFF.
