*EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet) function: This
technology reduces energy consumption of Internet
devices when network traffic is light. It is also called
“green ethernet” or IEEE802.3az.
f [USB TO HOST] Connector
USB Type B Connector
The product functions as an up to 18 IN/18 OUT,
96 kHz/32 bit audio interface by connecting to a
computer via USB cables. It also allows control of DM3
series and remote control of DAW software by
USB-MIDI.
Installing Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver is required for
communication with a computer.
g Network Connector
This is an RJ-45 connector for connector to a computer.
Use an ethernet cable (CAT5e or better recommended).

a Ventilation Ports
This port is equipped with a cooling fan to prevent the
inside from getting too hot. When it gets too hot inside,
the fan starts automatically.
There are ventilation ports on both the left and right
sides.
NOTICE
• Use USB cables less than 3 meters long.
• Leave an interval of at least 6 seconds between
plugging/unplugging the USB cable.
NOTICE
To prevent electromagnetic interference, use an STP
(Shielded Twisted Pair) cable.

CAUTION
Do not block the ventilation ports (heat dissipating
slits) of this product. If ventilation ports are covered,
heat gets trapped inside the product, which may result
in malfunction and/or fire.
