REED VALVE

• Fit the reed valve stopper out with the
corresponding cut on the reed valve.
2. Tighten:
• Screws (Reed valve)
NOTE:
Tighten each screw gradually to avoid war-
ping.
3. Install:
• Y.E.I.S. chamber 
NOTE:
The arrow on the Y.E.I.S. chamber must point
forward.
INSTALLATION
Reverse the “REMOVAL” procedure. Note the
following points.
1. Install:
• Gasket (New) 
• Reed valve assembly 

WARNING
A damaged gasket may cause the engine
revs to accelerate. Always use a new gas-
ket.
2. Install:
• Carburetor joint 
Screws (Reed valve):
1 Nm (0.1 m·kg; 0.7 ft·lb) Use
LOCTITE®
Bolt (Carburetor joint):
10 Nm (1.0 m·kg; 7.2 ft·lb)
