Rear wheel
To remove the rear wheel

8 It is advisable to have a
Yamaha dealer service the
wheel.
8 Securely support the motorcy-
cle so that there is no danger
of it falling over.
1. Loosen the axle nut.
2. Lift the rear wheel off the ground
according to the procedure on
page 6-38.

To install the front wheel
1. Lift the wheel up between the
fork legs and guide the brake
disc between the brake pads.
NOTE:
Make sure that there is enough
space between the brake pads
before inserting the brake disc.
2. Insert the wheel axle.
3. Lower the front wheel so that it is
on the ground.
4. Tighten the wheel axle to the
specified torque.
5. Tighten the axle holder nuts to
the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
Wheel axle:
58 Nm (5.8 m0kg)
NOTE:
Tighten the upper nuts first, and then
the lower ones. When the nuts are
tightened in this sequence, there
should be a gap at the bottom of the
axle holder.
5. Push down hard on the handle-
bar several times to check for
proper fork operation.
Tightening torque:
Axle holder nut:
10 Nm (1.0 m0kg)
