the DR-MX1S is the ultimate in convenience. It offers
DVD, hard drive and VHS— with recording and
playback capability, and the ability to dub between
any two—thats’ 6-way dubbing. Take advantage
of the 80GB hard drive to record up to 18 hours of
programming in the highest-quality XP mode or 105 hours in the EP mode. As you watch shows stored on the hard drive, you can
delete them as you go, or transfer any material you want to keep onto DVD discs or VHS tapes.
DR-DX5S DVD/HDD/MiniDV Triple Recorder Combo
Combining a 250GB hard disk drive, DVD recorder and
MiniDV recorder into a single deck, the DR-DX5S is
ideal for camcorder users looking for a simple editing
and DVD burning option or even just a convenient way
to play back Mini DV recordings. It offers dubbing
between any two of its drives for six-way dubbing.
For example, it offers the convenience of recording TV programs to its hard disk drive (HDD) for time shifting, and the option of
copying the material from the HDD to DVD for archiving. Or, MiniDV footage can be recorded onto the HDD for editing and then
the edited footage easily dubbed onto DVD. Or go directly from MiniDV to DVD for archiving home video.
DR-MX1S and DR-DX5S Both Feature
◆ The three combined recorders provide six dubbing options. You can dub video content between any two of HDD, DVD, and VHS.
◆ The DR-MX1S has dual TV tuners so you can actually record two different television shows at the same time. And while recording with the hard
drive or DVD-RAM disc you can control live TV — pause, rewind and catch all the action with your own slow-motion instant replays.
◆ When dubbing from VHS to HDD/DVD, the DR-MX1S automatically creates thumbnails by detecting tape-encoded signals which indicate program
changes. This allows easy access to each dubbed program. It also skips blank spaces on the tape. This results in DVDs free of unwanted blank space.
◆ A triple combo unit — large-capacity 250GB hard drive which stores up to 473 hours of programs, multi-format DVD recorder and MiniDV
recorder, The DR-DX5S allows six-way dubbing — between any two of the three recorders. Edit and dub footage from your camcorder in native DV
format. Transfer footage over to hard disk in original DV format. Edit the scenes as you like on hard disk and dub the result back to MiniDV while
retaining high resolution. This function is also available when the unit is connected with a MiniDV camcorder via i.LINK terminal.
