Single-Disc and 5-Disc DVD Players
Blending astounding performance
with an elegant design, Panasonic’s
DVD players offer a host of advanced
features to deliver an unsurpassed
home theater experience. They
feature Advanced Progressive Scan,
resulting in an extended frequency
response, reduction of background noise and enhancement of depth. The higher-density video signal brings a film-like
quality to DVD images, extraordinarily close to the way they originally appeared in the cinema, with rich detail, incredible
depth of field, and precise color reproduction. The high resolution picture is also free of motion artifacts.
The DVD-S29S (silver)/DVD-S27K (black) includes a one-touch AV enhancer for optimum picture and sound quality.
The DVD-S77 adds 5.1-channel DVD-Audio to the mix, and an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) to provide
high quality, uncompressed digital audio/video signal transmission. This avoids complicated and troublesome connection
of components. The DVD-S97 steps-up with a built-in Dolby Pro Logic II decoder, MPEG Digital Noise Reductions and
Audio Navigation Menu. The DVD-F87S (silver)/DVD-F87K (black) 5-disc changer features DVD-Audio playback and
enhanced access speed from disc to disc (only 10 seconds).
Progressive Scanning (480P) creates a
picture signal with double the scan lines of a
conventional DVD interlaced picture (480I),
resulting in higher picture resolution,
sharper image quality, and the elimination
of virtually all motion artifacts.

seconds, offering a quick way to access
desired scenes.
Audio/JPEG Navigation menu lets you
quickly search for MP3 and WMA audio files
or view JPEG images recorded onto CD-R or
CD-RW discs via an on-screen menu. This
feature also works with CD-Rs that feature
multi-session recordings.
Co-developed by Panasonic and Microsoft, HighMAT
(High-Performance Media Access Technology) significantly
improves interoperability for digital media content
between PCs and devices such as CD and DVD players.
HighMAT is a digital-media standard that provides a dra-
matically improved method of storing, arranging and
playing back digital photo, music and video collections on
recordable discs such as CD-RW media. (At present,
HighMAT-compatible Panasonic products have Level 2
functionality which includes compatibility only with audio files and JPEG still image files.)
