playable. For added flexibility and convenience, the DVD-R120 offers front composite video and
DV-inputs.
The DVD-VR320 is a DVD
recorder/VHS VCR combo that lets
you record between VHS tapes and
DVD discs. With both formats
supported in the same machine, you
can convert treasured VHS tapes to
DVDs at the touch of a button, with
no special wiring required. You can
also record directly from television to either format. It features multi-format playback and recording functions with a
smooth, 480P progressive scan image that helps eliminates blur and distortion. It has an automatic chapter creator and
front DV-inputs for true digital transfer from a digital camcorder. The unit’s sleek and clean front panel design ensures it
will look at home in all home theater settings.
The DVD-VR325 is also a DVD Recorder/VHS VCR combo but steps-up with High- Definition conversion from both DVD
and VHS to output 480p/720p and 1080i HDTV resolution via single HDMI hookup.
◆ Powered by SMART RP technology, they
support three recording formats (DVD-RAM,
DVD-R and DVD-RW) and offer a ‘Time Shift’
function on the DVD-RAM. Simultaneous
recording and playback is available as well
as live picture ‘Pause and Replay’.
◆ Time Slip provides two features that give
you added flexibility and control when
recording on discs: Chasing Playback and
simultaneous recording & playback.
◆ Auto Fit Recording automatically detects
remaining disc space and sets up the best
recording mode. For instance, when record-
ing a 90-min. program on a single side, it
sets recording mode between XP and EP so
that the program is recorded completely
without any loss due to disc capacity.
◆ ‘One-Touch’ and timer recording options
offer extra convenience:
◆ One Touch Recording lets you select up to
four hour record periods in half hour incre-
ments from a single button on the remote.
◆ Timer Recording enables automatic record-
ing of a favorite TV show when you’re not
home. Just set the time and the date and
the recorder will automatically record it.
◆ 480p progressive scan output ensures pris-
tine, flicker-free images with a compatible
TV and sound quality is addressed with
Digital Noise Reduction.
◆ In addition to front composite A/V inputs a
IEEE I394 DV input lets you connect and
store video content from a DV camcorder.
◆ Use the integrated menu system to edit
video content. You can perform basic (Title
List) and advanced editing (Play List) on
DVD-RAM and DVD-RW discs. For the Title
List, you can rename, lock or delete a title.
Also, create a Playlist and then play, edit
(even modify/replace), rename the entries in
the Playlist.
◆ Auto Chapter Creator function lets you
record a TV show or video clips from a
camcorder onto a DVD disc and chapters are
automatically created. This means you will
no longer have to spend time searching an
entire DVD looking for just the right spot.
◆ DVD-R320/VR325 let you record on both the
DVD and VCR players simultaneously.
