Base Correction, Pre Frame Noise Reduction
and Pre-video Equalizer technologies rebal-
ance and equalize video content before it is
recorded onto a DVD, improving the original
source content before the encoding process
begins. Very useful when recording from
low resolution sources such as VHS tapes.
◆ In the output phase, Post Frame Noise
Reduction, Block Noise Reduction and Video
Equalizer technologies combine to produce
a richly textured visual rendition while
minimizing picture interference caused by
background artifacts or distortion.

recorder includes ‘chasing playback’,
allowing you to rewind the recorded
material while it's still recording to view and

rate to match image data volume and scene

discs will display titles, a jacket picture and

Additionally, the i.LINK interface enables
you to control the camcorder via the
supplied remote control. Expediting the
content transfer process, you can copy the
entire contents of a DV tape by selecting
the convenient one-touch dubbing feature.

clean playback in slow motion and scan
speeds. Using high-speed processing to
read ahead and keep frames in memory,
the system provides smooth, natural pic-
tures in special effects modes, such as
Frame Advance, Slow Motion (1/10 and 1/5
speed) and High-Speed Search (2x, 10x and
30x), in forward or reverse.

(subject to Macrovision anti-piracy technology in the source media).
◆ WITH a 160 GB hard disc drive, you can record and store up to 204 hours of TV shows on the
RDR-HX715 recorder. Exciting shows and programs can be stored on the hard disc drive to
watch later, or conveniently burned onto any format DVD for archiving or sharing with family
and friends. In addition, the timer recording feature takes the hassle out of recording TV pro-
grams through an easy on-screen program guide.
◆ The RDR-HX715 can record at HQ+ mode in the hard disk drive, which is approximately 1.5
times greater than the highest possible bit rate recording on DVD. The HQ+ mode, along with
Dynamic Variable Bit Rate, provide outstanding picture quality and IS especially beneficial
when recording quick and complex motion images or playback from the HDD. In addition, the
RDR-HX715 features 24x high speed dubbing from HDD in SLP recording mode to a DVD disc.
◆ The DR-HX715 up-scales video to high definition (1080i/720p) resolution and transmits high
quality uncompressed digital video and audio signals through it’s HDMI connection.
◆ TV Guide On Screen interactive program guide makes it easy to find and record programming
without monthly fees.
◆ Intelligent Scene Chaptering provides easy scene search and editing by indexing chapters at
transition points
◆ D-Matrix Noise Reduction System uses a combination of three types of noise reduction
