()) Fingerprints, dirt and scratches can cause skipping and distortion. ÁDo not write on the label side with a ball-point pen or other writing utensils. ÁDo not use record cleaning sprays, benzine, thinner, static electricity prevention liquids or any other solvent. ÁBe careful not to drop or bend the disc. ÁDo not install more than 1 disc on the disc tray.
ENGLISH Troubleshooting If the unit fails to operate normally, check the following points to determine whether the fault can be corrected by the simple measures suggested. If it cannot be corrected, or if the fault is not listed in the SYMPTOM column, disconnect the power cord and contact your authorized YAMAHA dealer or service center for help. Symptom (Common) Remedy No power. Insert the AC power plug securely into the power outlet. Power is automatically switched to the standby mode.
Symptom [DVD] Remedy Audio soundtrack and/or subtitle language is not the one selected at the initial settings. If the audio soundtrack and/or subtitle language does not exist on the disc, the language selected at the initial settings will not be seen/heard. The menu is displayed in French (example). The setup “Menus” of “Disc Languages” is set to French: select English. Lightening and darkening of the picture. Some discs will be copy protected at the direction of copyright owners.
ENGLISH Definition of terms Angle Recorded onto some DVD discs are scenes which have been simultaneously shot from a number of different angles (the same scene is shot from the front, from the left side, from the right side, etc.). With such discs, the ANGLE button can be used to view the scene from different angles. Chapter number These numbers are recorded on DVD discs.
