Use this fealure 1o adjust the delay of the center channel
sounds. This feature works when there is sound output
from the center speaker, with a source like Dolby Digital
or DTS, etc. Ideally, the center speaker should be the
same distance from the main listening position as the lefl
and right speakers.
However, in most home situalions, the center speaker is
placed in line with the front speakers, By delaying the
sound from the center speaker, the apparent distance from
the center speaker to the main listening position can be
adjusted to make it seem the same as the distance
between the front left and right speaker to the listening
position. Adjusting the delay time for the center speaker
is especially important for giving deplh Io the dialogue.
Control range:
CENTER ............. 0 Io 5 ms
Initial setting:
CENTER ............. 0 ms
Press ( / ;' to increase or decrease the delay
of the center channel sounds.

Use this fealure 1o adjust 1he dynamic range. This setting
is effective only when this unit is decoding Dolby Digital
signals.
Choices: MAX, STD (standm'd), MIN (minimum)
MAX
Select the "MAX" for feature fihns.
STD
Select the "STD" for general use.
MIN
Select the "MIN" for lislening 1osources at low volume
levels.
• Some types of the Dolby Digital software do not support
"M[N" fbr the dynamic range. If"MIN" is selected to play this
type of sol)wa_v, the volume m_y be extremely lowered fail
greatly, sharply. If this happens, select "MAX" or "STD'.
Use this fealure to adjust 1he balance of the oulput level
from the front lefl and right speakers.
Control range: 20 steps each for L/R
Initial setting: 0 dB for L/R
Press > to decrease the output level for the
front left speaker. Press ( for the front right
speaker.
• Increasing the delay by 1 ms sinmlates moving the speakers
about 30 cm (one l_ot) tarther away from the listening position.
Use this fealure 1o adjust the level of the bass and treble
when you use your headphones.
Control range (dB):
BASS ................... -6 to +3
TRBL (treble) ..... -6 to +3
Initial setting:
BASS ................... 0 dB
TRBL .................. 0 dB
Press ) 1o increase the level of the bass and treble, and
press ( to decrease the level.
