8. Add engine oil to the correct level.

9. Wipe the panel clean, and wipe up any spilled oil.

10. Install the O-ring and the oil filler cap.

11. Install the panel.

12. Finger-tighten the panel openers to engage the

lock (for Australia). Or install the screws (for

Europe).

Spark plug inspection

The spark plug is an important engine component,

which should be checked periodically.

• Do not tilt the generator when adding engine oil.

This could result in overfilling and damage to the

engine.

• Be sure no foreign material enters the crankcase.

Available oil grade:

API SE type or higher JASO MA or MB

Available viscosity index:

10W-30 or 10W-40

Engine oil quantity:

0.4 L (0.42 US qt, 0.35 Imp qt)

NOTICE

Panel screw tightening torque:

1.5 N·m (0.15 kgf·m, 1.1 lb·ft)

Soon after stopping the engine, do not touch the

spark plug and the engine. As they are hot, it may

result in a burn.
