Partie Intoroduction Configuration Le EX5 ou EX7 peu s'utiliser pratiquement seul – avec des écouteurs ou un simple amplificateur – ou peut s'insérer au coeur d'un système de génération de son très complexe et très performant. Naturellement, le générateur de son EX5R exige un clavier MIDI périphérique ou tout autre contrôleur. Alimentation électrique Avant toute autre connexion, branchez correctement l'extrémité femelle du cordon secteur fournie avec le EX5.
En plus des contrôleurs en temps réel fournis avec le EX5 et EX7 (molette de PITCH, molette MODULATION 1, molette MODULATION 2 et contrôleur à ruban) six boutons de commande sont prévus sur le EX5, EX5R et EX7 plus un certain nombre de commandes supplémentaires que vous pourrez brancher sur les prises correspondantes du panneau arrière selon les besoins. ■Commutateurs au pied (EX5 et EX7) Vous désirerez au moins brancher un commutateur au pied à la prise SUSTAIN pour commander le sustain du piano.
Partie Intoroduction Connexions des équipements audio ■Casques Les casques sont indispensables pour écouter et travailler chez soi, sans avoir recours à une chaîne complète ou duplex. Vous pourrez ainsi travailler aussi tard que vous le souhaitez et au volume qui vous convient sans déranger les voisins. Les casques recommandés par Yamaha pour le EX sont le HPE-170, HPE-160 ou HPE-150. Vous pouvez également utiliser des casques avec prises stéréo de 1/4" et une impédance comprise entre 33 et 150 ohms.
En plus des prises OUTPUT L/MONO et R, le EX5 et EX5R sont équipés de deux prises individuelles INDIVIDUAL OUTPUT 1 et 2. Quatre sorties individuelles supplémentaires (3 à 6) peuvent être ajoutées si vous avez installé une carte de sortie individuelle EXIDO1. Les sorties stéréophoniques individuelles peuvent être dirigées vers des canaux séparés d'une console de mixage pour des traitements individuels.
Partie Intoroduction ■Dispositif audionumérique (en option) La carte de sortie numérique EXDGO1 en option fournit une sortie numérique au format AES/EBU qui se connecte directement à un magnétophone numérique, à une console de mixage ou tout autre équipement de traitement numérique. Ceci permet aux sons produits avec le EX d'être enregistrés ou traités à un niveau de qualité supérieure.
Le mode Echantillonnage utilise aussi bien des sources audio externes que des données de voix internes. Les sources externes peuvent être soit en ligne, par exemple une platine CD ou des dispositifs de reproduction audio, soit un microphone pour échantillonner des sons en direct. Les sources ligne et microphone se connectent aux prises AD INPUT.
Partie Intoroduction Connecté à un ordinateur personnel (MacOS® ou Windows®), les données d'ondes pourront être transférées du EX5, EX5R ou EX7 vers l'ordinateur, soit directement, soit en chaîne via un disque dur périphérique (voir “REMARQUE” qui concerne les numéros d'identification du SCSI ci-dessous), ou éditées à l'aide de l'application TWE Wave Editor Yamaha, puis transférées à nouveau vers le EX5, EX5R ou EX7.

Le EX5, EX5R et EX7 sont fournis avec quatre disquettes de démonstration qui contiennent différents types de données préenregistrées, lesquelles donnent un aperçu des possibilités sophistiquées du système, et des exemples de programmations pour vous aider à créer le type de son dont vous avez besoin. Avec le EX5, le EX5R et le EX7 c'est un nouveau pas en avant qui est accompli dans ce domaine, puisque ces instruments extraordinairement polyvalents combinent toutes les techniques de génération de sons Yamaha les plus pointues. Si vous voulez un son qui sort de l’ordinaire et si vous voulez programmer les synthèses AWM, il est là.
Partie Intoroduction ■Voix AWM superposées Avec les voix AWM, il est possible de superposer jusqu'à quatre éléments AWM pour créer des textures sonores très riches.
L’impact sur les instruments à vent acoustiques est produit par les poumons, la gorge, la bouche et les lèvres de l'interprète. Sur les instruments à corde, il est produit par les mouvements du bras de l'interprète transmis aux cordes par l'archet. Ces facteurs forment une partie importante du système de génération de sons et avec le modèle VL sont désignés sous le terme de “contrôleurs.” (Ce sont ici des paramètres et non des contrôleurs physiques comme les molettes de modulation ou les boutons).

Les synthétiseurs ont fait du chemin depuis l’époque des oscillateurs à contrôle de tension (VCO), des filtres à contrôle de tension (VCF) et des amplificateurs à contrôle de tension (VCA). Les générateurs de son numériques modernes reproduisent maintenant assez bien la dynamique, la puissance et les capacités de commande interactives de ces vieux systèmes.
Partie Intoroduction ■Voix AN(Poly) + AWM ■Voix AN(Layer) + AWM Nous voyons dans le schéma ci-dessous que pour créer des voix AN (poly) + AWM un simple élément AN peut être combiné avec trois éléments AWM maximum. Sur le EX5 et sur le EX5R, deux éléments AN peuvent être combinés avec deux éléments AWM maximum pour créer des voix AN(Layer)+AWM. Les voix AN + FDSP sont décrites au chapitre Synthèse FDSP qui suit.
Avec les voix FDSP jusqu’à quatre éléments AWM peuvent être introduits à l’étape FDSP ou acheminés directement vers la synthèse d’effets ordinaire, selon les besoins. Eléments 1 AWM FDSP 2 AWM EFFETS 3 4 AWM AWM ■ Voix AN + FDSP Les voix AN+FDSP permettent de superposer un élément AN unique et jusqu’à trois éléments AWM et de les introduire à l’étape FDSP.
Partie Intoroduction Sélection des voix et des performances (mémoire d'exécution) Une des premières choses que vous souhaiterez faire avec le EX5, EX5R ou EX7 sera de sélectionner et de jouer certaines des voix ou combinaisons de performances qu'il contient. Cette section vous indique comment procéder. Sur le EX il y a 256 voix préenregistrées et organisées en deux groupes de mémoires séparées – préenregistrée 1 (“P1”) et préenregistrée 2 (“P2”) – contenant chacune 128 voix.

Partie Intoroduction ■Méthodes de sélection alternatives Touches [INC] et [DEC] Les touches [INC] et [DEC] sont parfaites pour les modifications minimes ou en pas à pas – c'est-à-dire pour sélectionner des numéros de voix ou de performances adjacents ou des numéros qui se trouvent quelque unités plus loin. Appuyez légèrement sur la touche [DEC] ou [INC] pour avancer ou reculer d'un numéro ou maintenez l'une ou l'autre touche enfoncée pour avancer ou reculer rapidement dans le sens voulu.
• Les voix normales sont tout simplement des voix telles que la trompette ou le piano jouées à une hauteur donnée et sur toute l’étendue d’une gamme, des graves aux aigus. • Les voix de batterie sont des boîtes à rythmes complètes ou un ensemble de sons de percussion, dont chacun possède une hauteur fixe assignée à une note individuelle du clavier (de Do 2 à Sol 8).
Partie Intoroduction Structure des voix et conseils d'édition Bien que le générateur de son à synthèse étendue EX soit un système assez compliqué, l'ensemble et l'interface ont été conçus de manière à faciliter au maximum l'édition des voix et à la rendre la plus efficace possible. Votre aptitude à bien maîtriser le système dépendra beaucoup de la connaissance que vous avez des paramètres individuels de chaque générateur de son (voir liste ci-dessous).
C’est là que se détermine la hauteur du son. Il est possible de contrôler la hauteur de son d'une voix à partir du clavier ou avec les données de notes MIDI, et en plus à partir de la molette de variation de hauteur de son, du toucher après enfoncement du clavier ou de tout autre contrôleur assignable.

Partie Intoroduction Voix AN (Poly) (EX5, EX5R et EX7) Une voix AN (Poly) standard est constituée d'un élément AN et de 1 à 3 éléments AWM. Si vous essayez de créer un son de synthétiseur analogique classique ou un son de synthétiseur FM, il sera vraisemblablement indiqué de démarrer avec un élément AN seul. Ajoutez des éléments AWM si nécessaire pour rendre le son plus moderne.
Les voix AN+FDSP peuvent être constituées d’un élément AN et de 1 à 3 éléments FDSP. L’étage FDSP est applicable selon les besoins à n’importe quel élement AWM. ELEMENT AN ELEMENT AWM FDSP EFFETS SORTIE ELEMENT AWM ELEMENT AWM Polyphonie Sur le EX5 et EX5R, la polyphonie maximum est de 126 notes et sur le EX7, elle est de 64 notes. La polyphonie totale n’est pas possible sur toutes les voix. Le tableau ci-dessous indique les polyphonies maximum de chaque type de voix.
Partie Intoroduction ■Elément étouffé Un autre impératif pour éditer des voix multi-éléments est la possibilité d'activer ou désactiver des éléments individuels. Vous pouvez avoir besoin de vous concentrer sur le son d'un élément simple, par exemple, et donc avoir besoin d'étouffer les autres éléments de manière à n’entendre que l'élément sur lequel vous voulez effectuer des modifications subtiles.
Normalement, lorsque vous tournez un bouton de commande pour entrer des données, les valeurs correspondantes changent de façon variable – c'est-à-dire la valeur du paramètre augmente ou diminue par rapport à la valeur initiale qui est affichée. En d'autres termes, la position centrale du bouton de commande correspond approximativement à la valeur du paramètre affichée avant d'actionner le bouton.
Partie Intoroduction Sauvegarde des voix Pour sauvegarder une voix éditée : 1 Appuyez sur la touche [STORE] Une fois que la voix est éditée, appuyez sur la touche [STORE] soit pendant que vous êtes encore en mode Voice Edit soit immédiatement après être revenu au mode Voice Play (ne sélectionnez pas une voix ou un mode différent avant d'avoir sauvegardé les données ou toutes les données seront perdues).
Le mode Performance du EX permet d'assigner 16 différents types de voix (sonorités) à différentes parties et de les combiner d'un certain nombre de façons, ce qui peut être idéal pour exécuter un morceau en temps réel – d’où son nom anglais Performance – ou pour une mise en séquence en le mode Pattern (figure) ou en le mode Song (morceaux) ou encore avec les commandes MIDI périphériques.
Partie Intoroduction ■Clavier partagé Vous pouvez, au lieu de superposer différentes parties de voix sur une même gamme du clavier, partager le clavier pour les assigner à différents emplacements du clavier. Un exemple simple consiste à assigner une basse à la partie gauche du clavier et un piano à la partie droite. Les paramètres de limite de notes du mode Performance Edit servent à assigner différentes parties sur les gammes du clavier (page 166).
L'arpégiateur EX (page 61) peut produire une gamme illimitée de motifs que vous pourrez façonner à volonté afin d’obtenir les accompagnements idéaux d’une gamme étendue de styles musicaux. L'arpégiateur est assignable à n'importe quelle partie du mode Performance de sorte que si le clavier est partagé, vous pouvez contrôler les figures d'arpège avec la main gauche tout en jouant la ligne mélodique avec la main droite.
Partie Intoroduction ■Edition des voix à partir du mode Performance Vous préférerez quelquefois éditer une voix du mode Performance plutôt que les paramètres de Performance euxmêmes. Vous pouvez passer directement au mode Voice Edit à partir du mode Performance ou du mode Performance Edit. Pour cela, appuyez sur la touche VOICE tout en maintenant la touche [PERFORMANCE] enfoncée. La fenêtre d'écran du mode Performance s'affichera avec les clés de fonction [F1] et [F2] assignées à des parties sélectionnées.
Pour sauvegarder une mémoire d’exécution : 1 Appuyez sur la touche [STORE] Une fois que vous avez défini la nouvelle configuration appuyez sur la touche [STORE] soit en restant dans le mode Performance Edit (édition de performance) soit immédiatement après être revenu au mode Performance Play (Reproduction des performances). (Ne sélectionnez pas des configurations ou des modes différents avant d'avoir sauvegardé les données éditées sinon toutes les modifications apportées seront perdues!).
Partie Intoroduction Restrictions DSP du mode Performance Le système DSP (Traitement des signaux numériques) qui sert à créer des effets EX est également utilisé par le générateur de son AN, FDSP et VL (EX5/5R uniquement) pour créer des voix. Ceci signifie que si vous avez déjà créé des voix avec le système, la capacité prise par les voix ne sera plus disponible pour les effets. Des restrictions différentes sont imposées sur les modèles EX5/5R et EX7.
En plus de la molette de variation des ton et des molettes de modulation, le EX5 et le EX7 sont équipés d'une gamme de contrôleurs sur lesquels vous pourrez assigner des commandes qui vous permettront de maîtriser le son avec une précision jamais égalée. Le générateur de son EX5R offre lui aussi une très grande souplesse de commande qui améliorera considérablement la programmation et l’écoute.
Partie Intoroduction Contrôleur à ruban (EX5/EX7) Le contrôleur à ruban est un capteur tactile sur lequel il suffit de déplacer légèrement le doigt de la gauche vers la droite. Le contrôleur à ruban peut être assigné à l'ensemble des paramètres du EX.
Les touches SCENE [1] et SCENE [2] peuvent être utilisées pour mémoriser et rappeler les différentes configurations des contrôleurs, de manière à rappeler instantanément des jeux complets de contrôleurs. Vous pouvez aussi effectuer une transition progressive “coulée ” d’une configuration à une autre et obtenir ainsi des effets nouveaux très expressifs.
Partie Intoroduction ■Commande des scènes (Transition entre les scènes - en anglais Scene Morphing) Le terme “morph” vient du mot “métamorphose” qui signifie passer d'une forme ou d'un aspect à l'autre. Dans le cas des scènes EX, cela signifie passer progressivement et de façon coulée d'une scène à l’autre au lieu de commuter directement, comme cela est décrit à la section précédente.

Partie Intoroduction Fonctions du séquenceur Trois fonctions de séquenceur séparées sont prévues sur le EX5, EX5R et EX7, chacune destinées à des tâches différentes : ●Mode Song (de morceau) Le séquenceur de morceaux EX est un séquenceur complet de 16 pistes avec effets de reproduction en temps réel – dont la division interne des motifs d’expression rythmique (groove) – et une gamme complète de fonctions d’édition.
Les figures d’arpège 4 pistes – des simples aux sophistiquées – peuvent être sauvegardées sous forme de paramètres de performance et rappelées automatiquement pour être utilisées avec des paramètres de performance individuels ou encore avec les voix en mode Voice. L’arpégiateur EX facilite la création d’arpèges automatiques, des figures de style techno-music, ou des gammes illimitées de phrases à répétition.

Le mode d’enregistrement pas à pas permet d’enregistrer chaque piste note par note, et de contrôler avec précision la mise en place, la longueur et le volume de chaque note. Vous pouvez enregistrer des pistes entières ou peaufiner une piste déjà enregistrée en lui ajoutant des données. Ce mode permet d’enregistrer des passages extrêmement rapides et complexes impossibles à jouer en temps réel.
Partie Intoroduction Effets de reproduction et division interne des motifs d’expression rythmique (groove Quantization) Les effets de reproduction, qui incluent aussi la division interne des motifs d’expression rythmique (groove Quantization) est une fonction très importante de tous les séquenceurs EX. Ils affectent la reproduction en temps réel des morceaux, des figures et des arpèges, mais en fait ne sont pas enregistrés avec les données de séquence.
Le système d'effets du EX n'est pas un “en plus.” C'est un système de traitement des signaux numériques hautement performant capable de produire des effets de qualité égale sinon supérieure à ceux de la plupart des dispositifs externes. Sur le EX5, le EX5R et le EX7, la programmation des effets fait partie intégrale de la programmation des voix dont elle est une composante importante.
Partie Intoroduction Effets d'insertion En plus des effets de système réverbération et chorus, le EX comporte deux unités d'effets d'insertion. L'unité d'effets 1 comprend 24 effets dont les effets chorus, distorsion et overdrive, simulation d'ampli, oua-oua automatique, égalisation et d'autres encore. L'unité des effets 2 ajoute entre autres un retard de réverbération, ce qui donne un total de 79 effets.
En mode Performance, les effets d'insertion s'appliquent aux voix exactement comme si elles étaient définies en mode Voice. Les unités réverbération et chorus du mode de voix cependant ne s'utilisent pas en mode Performance. En mode Performance, des paramètres d'envoi de réverbération et de chorus déterminent le montant de la réverbération et du chorus de chaque partie. En mode Performance, il est possible d'activer ou de désactiver les effets d'insertion réglés au mode Voice pour chaque partie.

Le mode échantillonnage du EX (Sample mode) permet d'échantillonner des sons captés à partir d’un micro ou d'une source ligne que vous pourrez utiliser comme éléments de voix AWM (les échantillons sont assignés aux éléments de voix à partir de la page d'écran OSC du mode Edit Voice - page 80), ou assignés à des touches individuelles du clavier en mode affectation des touches (Key Map mode) (page 72).
Partie Intoroduction ■Mode enregistrement et réglages des entrées Une fois que vous avez connecté la source voulue (si vous échantillonnez à partir d'une source périphérique), appuyez sur la touche [SAMPLE] pour passer en mode d'échantillonnage (Sample mode) puis sur la touche [F8] (“[REC]”) pour faire apparaître la page d'écran SAMPLE REC.
Après avoir vérifié les connexions de la source et les paramètres d'entrée et réglé les niveaux, réglez si nécessaire le niveau de déclenchement (page 177) puis la longueur maximum de l'échantillon à partir des paramètres de longueur (page 177) et appuyez sur la touche de fonction [F8] (“[STANDBY]”). Le message “Waiting...” (En attente) s'affiche dans la page d'écran. Le son de la source et l'échantillonnage sont déclenchés automatiquement dès que le signal de niveau de déclenchement est détecté.
Partie Intoroduction Key Map Mode (mode d’affectation des touches) Ce mode permet d’assigner des échantillons, des figures ou des pistes de figures sur différentes touches du clavier (ou sur des numéros de note MIDI dans le cas du EX5R). Les échantillons et/ou figures ainsi assignés sont reproduits par le EX5/EX7 ou par un séquenceur périphérique ou autre contrôleur MIDI, dans tous les modes.
Si vous voulez affecter un échantillon sur la note spécifiez la mémoire d’échantillon “RAM” (interne) ou ‘FLS’(mémoire flash si la carte EXFLM1 est installée) à l’aide des touches du curseur et de la molette Data, des touches [DEC]/[INC], ou des boutons de contrôle appropriés. 5 Spécifiez le mode de reproduction Le paramètre situé à l’extrême droite de la fenêtre après le numéro de figure ou d’échantillon, indique le mode de reproduction de la touche.
Partie Intoroduction La page d’écran Tune (accordage) Pour sélectionner la page d’écran Tune il faut appuyer sur la touche [F2], accessible uniquement pour les échantillonnages. Deux types d’accordage sont possibles : approximatif et fin. Approximatif: Monte ou descend la hauteur du son par demi-tons. Réglages: -64~+63 Fin: Pour accorder la hauteur du son avec précision.

4 Voice Category/Name (Catégorie/nom de voix) Voice Edit Mode (Mode Edition de voix) Voice Category (Catégorie de voix) Les voix sont groupées en catégories sous un code à deux lettres. Chaque code de catégorie implique les caractéristiques d’une voix.
La lettre “ ” reste affichée au coin supérieur gauche de la fenêtre jusqu’à ce que vous ayez sauvegardé la voix éditée ou que vous ayez sélectionné un autre numéro ou mode de voix. Veuillez noter toutefois que si vous sélectionnez un autre numéro de voix ou un autre mode avant de sauvegarder, vous perdrez les données d’édition. N’oubliez pas de sauvegarder celles que vous voulez conserver, comme indiqué à la page 48. Il faut sélectionner la voix à éditer avant de passer en mode Edition de voix.
FDSP (Formulated Digital Sound Processing): Permet d’utiliser chacun des 4 éléments AWM, (jusqu’à 4 éléments AWM maximum) sur l’unité FDSP. Si vous sélectionnez FDSP, le menu FDSP s’affiche sur l’écran avec les autres menus. Il est accessible à partir de la touche F5 au bas de l’écran COM (page 123.
■ Mono/Poly Pour sélectionner le mode monophonique (une note en même temps) ou polyphonique (plusieurs notes en même temps). ■ Arp Tempo (Tempo d’arpège) Pour régler le tempo des arpèges. ■ Tempo Ctrl (Contrôle du tempo) Pour définir si le tempo des arpèges sera contrôlé à partir d’un des boutons. ❏ Réglages: mono, poly ■ Key Assign (Assignation de touche) Pour sélectionner les assignations de touches sngl (single) ou mlti (multi).
[F6]: WAVE (Ondes) Assignation d’un nom de voix Pour sélectionner les ondes de chaque élément (4 éléments par voix maximum) et définir les paramètres relatifs à la configuration de la boucle de chaque onde. 1 Appuyez sur [F8] pour afficher la page d’écran NAME. 2 Déplacez le curseur [↓] vers l’extrême gauche. Voice Mode 3 Sélectionnez la catégorie avec la touche [INC]/[DEC] ou la molette DATA. Les noms de catégories sont utiles pour classer les voix créées.
■ Wave Play (Reproduction des ondes) Pour commuter sur le mode de reproduction de l’onde. Cinq choix sont possibles : “FwdLp,” “FwdLpEx,” “FwdNoLP,” “RevNoLp” ou “default.” [F7]: MIX (Mélangeur) Pour équilibrer la sortie des ondes de chaque élément qui constitue une voix.
■ Vel Limit High (Limite supérieure de vélocité) Pour régler la vélocité la plus haute de l’onde de chaque élément détecté lors des saisies au clavier. [F8]: ZONE Pour régler la zone de chaque élément (la gamme du clavier et la vélocité auxquelles le son est reproduit). Il est possible de régler une zone différente pour chaque élément.
■ EG Ramdom (Eénerateur d’enveloppe aléatoire) Pour modifier au hazard le niveau de maintien (page 85) du générateur d’enveloppe de hauteur. Plus les valeurs sont importantes plus les changements de hauteur sont élevées. Sur 0 aucun changement ne se produit et le son garde sa hauteur normale. [F3]: PITCH (HAUTEUR DU SON) Paramètres qui définissent la hauteur du son de l’onde et servent à régler l’accordage. Trois menus utilisant divers paramètres peuvent être attribués à chaque élément.
■ Micro Tuning (Accordage infinitésimal) Pour définir l’accordage infinitésimal (accordage ou tempérament) de chaque élément. Il existe trente deux sortes d’accordage, dont le “tempérament égal.” [F8]: EG (Générateur d’enveloppe de hauteur) Pour définir le générateur d’enveloppe de hauteur, qui déterminera le changement dans le temps de la hauteur du son, entre le moment où la note est jouée au clavier, maintenue et relâchée. Il est possible de définir une valeur différente pour chaque élément.
■ Time Scale (Echelle temporelle) Cette fonction sert à définir la vitesse à laquelle le générateur d’enveloppe varie par rapport à la hauteur du son des notes jouées au clavier. Avec une valeur positive on obtiendra des variations d’autant plus lentes que la note sera basse, et d’autant plus rapides que la note sera aiguë. Les valeurs négatives produisent l’effet inverse. ■ Dcy 1/2 Time (Durée d’estompement 1 et 2) Pour définir la durée des estompements 1 et 2.
L/H Shelf (Filtre de correction shelf graves/aigus) [F4]: FILT (Filtre) Pour configurer les paramètres du filtre pouvant être affectés à chacun des éléments et modifier le timbre d’une sonorité.
■ High/Low Gain Vel (Vélocité du gain fort/faible) Pour définir la sensibilité à la vélocité des niveaux de signal désignés par le gain fort et le gain faible. Avec une vélocité de valeur positive plus la note est jouée fort plus le gain augmente. Les valeurs négatives produisent l’effet inverse. ■ Low1/2 Gain (Gain faible 1 et 2) Pour définir le niveau des signaux des fréquences qui passent en dessous du point inférieur 1 et 2.
■ High1/2 Gain (Gain fort 1 et 2) Pour définir les niveaux de signal des fréquences qui passent au dessus du point des fréquences aiguës 1 et 2. ■ Freq Random (Fréquence aléatoire) Fréquence aléatoire qui provoque un déplacement aléatoire de la fréquence de coupure. Plus la valeur est élevée plus la plage de changement de la fréquence de coupure est large. La valeur “0” ne donne aucun changement.
■ Freq (Fréquences) Pour définir la fréquence de coupure. Uniquement les fréquences centrées sur la fréquence de coupure pourront passer, les autres seront éliminées. HPF (Filtre passe-bas) Les autres paramètres du filtre sont identiques à ceux du filtre passe-bas présenté plus haut. Pour plus de précisions, voir page 88.
■ Freq KeyFollow (Suivi au clavier des fréquences) Pour définir le suivi au clavier de la fréquence centrale définie au paramètre Freq. Cette fonction permet de régler la fréquence centrale selon les notes jouées au clavier. Avec une valeur positive plus la note jouée au clavier est aiguë plus la fréquence centrale est élevée. Avec une valeur négative, plus la note est grave plus la fréquence centrale est élevée.
[F5]: DCF (Filtre de contrôle dynamique) Page d’écran de l’ensemble des paramètres Pour configurer les paramètres du filtre de contrôle dynamique. Plusieurs types de filtre modifient le timbre musical en laissant passer une certaine plage de fréquences du son parmi les harmoniques (les autres fréquences sont éliminées). Vous pouvez sélectionner des paramètres de filtre différents pour chaque élément.
■ Thru Gain (Gain au travers) Pour déterminer l’intensité des signaux qui ne passent pas dans le filtre, autrement dit le son nu (sans effet) d’origine. Vous pouvez sélectionner les filtres suivants comme filtre DCF1 ou 2. LPF (Filtre passe-bas) Le filtre passe-bas permet le passage des fréquences situées en dessous de la fréquence de coupure et élimine les signaux qui se trouvent au-dessus de cette fréquence. Il existe cinq différents types de filtres passe-bas pour le DCF1.
LPF6 (Filtre passe-bas 6) : Filtre dynamique numérique passe-bas - 6 dB/oct sans résonance Thru (au travers) LPF6 Affichage graphique du filtre La courbe de réponse aux fréquences du filtre est affichée à droite de la page d’écran Frequency Characteristics. En abscisse figure la bande de fréquences, et en ordonnée le niveau. L’affichage graphique indique les modifications qui correspondent aux réglages des valeurs de chaque paramètre.
Voice Mode ■ F1/2 Vel Freq (Fréquence à la vélocité des filtres 1 et 2) Pour établir la sensibilité à la vélocité de la fréquence de coupure. Lorsque la fréquence à la vélocité des filtres 1 et 2 est réglée sur une valeur positive, plus la note est jouée fort au clavier, plus la fréquence de coupure est élevée et le timbre musical est modifié. Des valeurs négatives produisent l’effet inverse. [F7]: SCALE (Echelle) Pour établir les paramètres d’échelle du filtre.
Pour activer le filtre du générateur d’enveloppe lequel détermine la modification dans le temps d’un timbre musical entre le moment où la touche est enfoncée, maintenue, et relâchée. Le filtre du générateur d’enveloppe agit sur les deux filtres de contrôle dynamique DCF1 et 2 et des paramètres différents peuvent être sélectionnés pour chaque élément. ❏ Réglages: -7~0~+7 Ce paramètre ne figure pas sur la page d’écran de l’enveloppe.
■ L (Boucle) Pour régler la boucle du filtre de contrôle dynamique. Nous voyons au schéma suivant que cette fonction sert à définir le segment auquel on reviendra lorsque l’estompement 2 (point de boucle) sera atteint. La sélection “off” désactive la fonction de boucle.
■ Pan KeyFollow (Suivi au clavier du panoramique) Ce paramètre s’affiche lorsque vous sélectionnez le panoramique d’échelle (“scl”) du menu Pan (Panoramique). Cette fonction sert à déterminer la position du son dans le spectre stéréophonique selon les notes jouées au clavier. Lorsque vous l’utilisez, le son se déplace pour chaque note en fonction de la hauteur du son de base C3 (Do 3) qui a été définie comme note de référence.
■ Atck Time Vel (Vélocité du temps d’attaque) Pour définir la sensibilité à la vélocité du temps d’attaque. Lorsque cette fonction est réglée sur une valeur positive, plus le jeu au clavier est faible, plus le temps d’attaque est long. Des valeurs négatives produisent l’effet inverse. Réglage de l’échelle d’amplitude Vous pouvez régler la note (hauteur du son) et le niveau de compensation (décalage) de chaque point de coupure (BP1 à 4) comme indiqué dans l’exemple suivant.
■ Decay Level Vel (vélocité du niveau d’estompement) Pour augmenter ou diminuer le niveau d’estompement avec la vélocité. ■ Rel1 Level (Niveau de relâchement 1) Pour établir le niveau de relâchement 1 (en mode relâchement 2). ❏ Réglages: 0~127 En mode de relâchement 1, le niveau de relâchement 1 est fixé sur “0.” En mode de relâchement 2, le niveau de relâchement 2 est fixé sur “0.” ■ Attack Mode (Mode Attaque) Pour sélectionner le mode Attaque (1 ou 2) ou passer d’un mode à l’autre.
■ Sync (Synchronisation) Ce commutateur permet d’activer ou de désactiver la fonction Synchronisation. Lorsqu’elle est activée, l’oscillateur basses fréquences se rétablit chaque fois qu’une touche est frappée. [F6]: LFO (Oscillateur basses fréquences) Voice Mode Les paramètres LFO servent à régler l’oscillateur basses fréquences. Celui-ci sert à générer des signaux basses fréquences qui permettent de moduler certains aspects des voix.
■ Fade (Fondu sonore) Pour définir l’effet de fondu de l’oscillateur basses fréquences à la fin du retard. Comme nous le voyons sur le schéma ci-dessous, plus la valeur est élevée, plus il faut de temps pour que la modulation de l’oscillateur basses fréquences atteigne son point maximum. ■ Vel (Vélocité) Pour définir la sensibilité à la vélocité de l’onde LFO. Lorsque la valeur de vélocité est positive, plus la touche est frappée fort au clavier, plus la modulation de l’oscillateur LFO est importante.
■ AMD (Profondeur de la modulation d’amplitude) Pour définir dans quelle mesure l’oscillateur LFO modifiera le niveau de sortie. Plus les valeurs sont élevées, plus la gamme de variation du volume sera étendue. tri (Onde triangulaire) ❏ Réglages: 0~127 Voice Mode saw u (En dents de scie vers le haut) ■ PMD (Profondeur de modulation de hauteur) Pour définir dans quelle mesure l’oscillateur LFO modifiera la hauteur de son. Plus les valeurs sont élevées, plus la gamme de variation du son sera étendue.
■ Sync (Synchronisation) Les paramètres de Sync pour l’oscillateur basses fréquences 2 sont les mêmes que ceux de l’oscillateur basses fréquences 1. Pour plus de renseignements, reportez-vous à la page 100. Les paramètres de contrôleur servent à déterminer le statut des différents contrôleurs. Vous pouvez affecter plusieurs contrôleurs à chaque élément y compris la commande de réglage de hauteur de son à partir de la molette qui se trouve sur le panneau avant. Deux menus sont disponibles.
■ Port Mode (Mode portamento) Pour sélectionner le mode portamento. Le glissement du portamento diffère selon que l’on a sélectionné un paramètre Mono ou Poly dans le menu commun. [F3] REMAP (Remappage) Cette fonction permet de classer les contrôleurs de sonorités. Si par exemple vous créez quatre contrôleurs numérotés 1,3,4, et 7, les numéros seront redéfinis de 1 à 4.
■ Dest Depth (Profondeur de destination) Pour régler la profondeur des commandes sélectionnées au paramètre destination. Les paramètres d’effets servent à définir les paramètres liés aux deux types d’effets : les effets d’insertion et les effets du système (Réverbération et Chorus). Vous pouvez vérifier l’évolution des signaux d’effets sur l’affichage graphique en même temps que vous tapez les valeurs. Cinq menus différents sont disponibles.
■ 3 InsEF1 (Effet d’insertion 1) Pour sélectionner le type d’effet appliqué à l’effet d’insertion 1. ■ ! Voice Mode ■ VL Mono/Poly (VL monophonique/polyphonique) Pour sélectionner la façon dont les sons seront produits avec l’élément VL. L’élément VL ne peut produire qu’un seul son à la fois mais comme nous le voyons cidessous, il est différent selon que l’on aura choisi le mode “mono” (monophonique) ou “poly” (polyphonique). Sélectionne le mode qui convient le mieux à votre style de jeu.
[F8]: EG (Générateur d’enveloppe de hauteur) [F4]: FILT (Filtre) L’écran suivant s’affiche lorsque vous sélectionnez VL sur la page d’écran PEG. Avec l’élément VL, les deux menus suivants sont disponibles pour régler les paramètres de filtre. [F7]: EQ (Egalisateur) L’égalisateur paramétrique à 5 bandes avec paramètres, fréquence, Q et gain offre des moyens supplémentaires pour personnaliser vos sons. A noter aussi le paramètre post égalisateur.
[F8]: DCF (Filtre de contrôle dynamique) [F5]: AMP (Amplitude) Lorsque vous sélectionnez l’élément VL, deux menus apparaissent pour les paramètres d’amplitude. [F6]: PARAM (Paramètres) [F8]: EG (Générateur d’enveloppe) Voice Mode [F6]: PARAM (Paramètres) ■ Resonance (Résonance) Pour définir les paramètres qui permettent d’amplifier des fréquences particulières autour de la fréquence de coupure. Quand vous sélectionnez un élément VL, le niveau de vélocité est désactivé.
■ Vibrato Delay (Retard du vibrato) Pour définir la durée d’attente entre le moment où les notes sont jouées au clavier et le moment où le vibrato prend effet. Plus la valeur est grande, plus la durée d’attente est importante. Des valeurs négatives produisent un délai d’attente plus court. Pour plus de renseignements concernant le retard, voir page 100.
Voix normale (Elément AN) [F1]: COM (Commun) Les explications ci-dessous couvrent uniquement les fonctions et paramètres de l’élément AN qui diffèrent de ceux des éléments AWM. Pour les autres fonctions et paramètres qui sont identiques, reportez-vous aux sections correspondantes du mode d’emploi. [F6]: PARAM (Paramètres) Voice Mode Quand la sonorité d’un élément AN, AN(Poly)+AWM, AN(Layer)+AWM, ou AN+FDSP est sélectionnée à partir du menu PARAM, les paramètres suivants s’ajoutent à la page d’écran.
■ AN Priority (Priorité AN) Pour décider la priorité des notes jouées en tant qu’élément AN. Vous permet de sélectionner la note que vous voulez faire sonner parmi les notes de l’accord ou les multiples notes jouées en même temps. Vous avez le choix entre “Last” (la note qui est jouée en dernier), Top (la note la plus aiguë), btm (la note la plus basse). only FM (FM uniquement) (Sync désactivé) : aucun autre paramètre ne peut être sélectionné VCO1 Maître VCO2 LFO1,2 EG, etc.
Lorsque la source est réglée sur “Fixed”, la modulation n’est pas modifiée dans le temps. Voice Mode Sync Si vous synchronisez l’oscillateur maître et l’oscillateur esclave de VCO1, vous augmenterez les harmoniques de l’onde et créerez un son beaucoup plus complexe. Le paramètre sync est automatiquement activé lorsque vous sélectionnez un algorithme autre que la modulation de fréquence. ■ FM Modulator (Modulateur FM) Pour sélectionner la source à partir de laquelle se produira la modulation de fréquence.
saw2 (Dents de scie 2) L’onde en dent de scie 2 (Saw2) est légèrement différente de l’onde en dents de scie(Saw). Son spectre est formé d’une onde en dents de scie combinée à une onde d’impulsion. Par conséquent, lorsque la durée d’impulsion est réglée sur 64, la forme d’onde est la même que l’onde en dents de scie. Si vous modifiez la durée d’impulsion, les harmoniques pairs augmentent et le volume de l’onde en dents de scie s’intensifie.
Voice Mode ■ VCO1/2 PulseWidth (Durée d’impulsion des VCO1 et 2) Pour régler la durée de l’onde d’impulsion de chacun des oscillateurs VCO1 et 2. Lorsque l’impulsion est réglée sur la valeur 64, l’onde d’impulsion est équitablement équilibrée et génère uniquement des harmoniques impairs. Lorsque la valeur 64 est augmentée ou diminuée, le son s’épaissit à mesure que la durée de l’impulsion se modifie, du fait que les harmoniques augmentent.
■ Bank (Banque) Lorsque vous sélectionnez la sonorité AN(Poly)+AWM ou AN+FDSP au menu COM PARAM (expliqué plus haut), la première onde d’élément est toujours AN. Lorsque vous sélectionnez Analog Layer, c’est toujours le premier et le deuxième éléments qui seront AN. Les deux ou trois autres élément pourront être utilisés comme éléments AWM.
Voice Mode ■ PEG Decay Time (Durée d’estompement du générateur d’enveloppe de hauteur) Pour définir la durée de l’estompement du générateur d’enveloppe de hauteur. Réglé sur une valeur positive, ce réglage détermine le temps nécessaire au son pour, à partir du niveau de profondeur du PEG, atteindre sa hauteur de base. Quand une valeur négative est appliquée, il détermine le temps nécessaire au son pour, à partir de sa hauteur de base, atteindre le niveau de profondeur de PEG qui a été défini.
■ Release Time (Durée de relâchement) Pour définir le temps qu’il faut au signal pour atteindre la valeur initiale “0”, une fois que la touche est relâchée. [F8]: EG (Générateur d’enveloppe de filtre) Pour définir le générateur d’enveloppe de filtre de l’élément AN. Ceci permet de contrôler le changement de timbre musical qui s’opère dans le temps, entre le moment où la note est jouée et le moment où elle est relâchée.
■ VCO2 Level (Niveau de l’oscillateur VCO2) Pour définir le niveau de signal de l’onde envoyée par l’oscillateur VCO2 vers le mélangeur. Si vous n’utilisez pas de signal VCO2, réglez le niveau sur “0.” [F8]: EG (Générateur d’enveloppe d’amplitude) Pour définir le générateur d’enveloppe d’amplitude de l’élément AN. Ceci permet de déterminer la variation de volume qui s’opère dans le temps entre le moment où la touche est jouée et le moment où elle est relâchée.
■ Release Time (Temps de relâchement) Ceci permet de régler le temps qu’il faudra pour que le signal atteigne la valeur “0”, une fois que la touche est relâchée. Sine Wave (onde sinusoïdale) Sine [F6]: LFO (Oscillateur basses fréquences) Sine Quand on sélectionne l’élément AN on a accès au menu de réglage de l’oscillateur de basses fréquences. ■ LFO1 Delay (Retard LFO1) Pour définir le retard souhaité entre le moment où le clavier est frappé et le moment où la modulation LFO commence. Plus la valeur est grande, plus le retard sera important. Pour plus de renseignements, reportez-vous au graphique du concept de retard, page 100. ■ LFO2 Speed (Vitesse LFO2) Pour régler la vitesse de l’onde LFO2. Plus la valeur est importante plus la vitesse est accélérée. Pour plus de renseignements, voir le graphique du concept de vitesse à la page 101.
■ ElmSw (Bouton d’élément) Ce bouton sert à activer ou désactiver la sonorité FDSP pour chaque élément AWM. Timbre (Position) ❏ Réglages: activé ou désactivé pour chaque élément, 1~4 (dans le cas du mode AN+FDSP, élément 2~4) Voice Mode ■ Type Pour définir le type de FDSP qui sera utilisé. Toute une variété de modes FDSP, à commencer par le simulateur de capteur de guitare, permettent de nouvelles créations sonores. Les paramètres diffèrent selon le type de FDSP sélectionné.
■ Out High Kf (Suivi au clavier du niveau de sortie haut) Pour décaler les variations du niveau de sortie du capteur pour les notes qui se situent en dessus du point de coupure haut. Réglé sur une valeur positive, plus la note jouée au clavier est aiguë, plus la variation du niveau de sortie est grande. Réglé sur une valeur négative, plus la note jouée au clavier est grave, plus la variation du niveau de sortie est grande.
Voice Mode ■ HPF K.Flw (Suivi au clavier du filtre passe-haut) Pour définir le suivi au clavier des fréquences de coupure du filtre passe-haut. Ce paramètre permet de règler les variations de la fréquence de coupure en fonction des notes jouées au clavier. Réglé sur une valeur positive, plus la note jouée au clavier est aiguë, plus la fréquence de coupure est élevée. Réglé sur une valeur négative, plus la note jouée au clavier est grave, plus la fréquence de coupure est élevée.
■ PickingNotch (Cran de pincement) Pour définir la position de pincement entraînant des changements de tonalités. Réglé sur une valeur positive, les effets physiquement corrects s’obtiennent aux alentours des valeurs maximum. Un réglage sur des valeurs négatives permet d’obtenir des effets physiquement impossibles. La valeur “0” ne donne aucun changement de timbre. ❏ Réglages: single: Produit un son clair et brillant, une des caractéristiques des capteurs à bobinage simple.
■ Output (Sortie) Pour définir le niveau de sortie du capteur. ■ Pan (panoramique) Ce panoramique est le même que celui du capteur de piano électrique. Pour plus de renseignements, voir page 126. ❏ Réglages: -48 ~ 0 ~ +48 Voice Mode ■ Output KFlw (Suivi au clavier du niveau de sortie) Pour définir le suivi au clavier du niveau de sortie. Ce paramètre permet de régler le niveau de sortie du capteur en fonction des notes jouées au clavier.
■ Feedback Kf (Suivi au clavier du Feedback) Pour définir le suivi au clavier du Feedback. Cette fonction permet de modifier la résonance (des cordes résonnantes) en fonction des notes jouées au clavier. Réglée sur une valeur positive, plus la note jouée est aiguë, plus la variation de résonance est grande. Réglée sur une valeur négative, plus la note jouée au clavier est basse, et plus la variation de résonance est grande. ❏ Réglages: 0 ~ 127 ■ Freq K.
■ Dry Level (Niveau direct) Pour définir le niveau de sortie du signal d’entrée original. La valeur “0” correspond à un niveau de sortie 0. Les réglages sur des valeurs négatives inversent la phase de la forme d’ondes. ■ KeyFollow (Suivi au clavier) Pour définir le suivi au clavier du retard. Ce paramètre permet de modifier la longueur du retard en fonction des notes jouées au clavier.
■ LFO Depth (Profondeur de l’oscillateur basse fréquence) Pour définir la profondeur de l’onde LFO pour la modulation de durée d’impulsion. Réglée sur “0”, seul le générateur d’enveloppe fonctionne. Réglée sur “32,” les ondes de l’oscillateur basse fréquence vont de “0” à l’amplitude du générateur d’enveloppe. Réglé sur “64”, la valeur absolue de l’onde de l’oscillateur basse fréquence recouvre les zones positives et négatives de l’amplitude du générateur d’enveloppe.
Voice Mode ■ EG Time Kflw (Suivi au clavier de la durée du générateur d’enveloppe) Pour définir le suivi au clavier de la durée du générateur d’enveloppe. Cette fonction permet de régler la durée du générateur d’enveloppe en fonction des notes jouées au clavier. Réglée sur une valeur positive, plus la note jouée au clavier est aiguë, plus la durée du générateur d’enveloppe est réduite. Sur une valeur négative, plus la note jouée au clavier est basse, et plus la durée du générateur d’enveloppe est réduite.
■ Decay Time (Temps d’estompement) Pour définir le temps d’estompement du générateur d’enveloppe (le temps qu’il faut à la note pour passer de son niveau maximum à son niveau de maintien). ■ Wet Level (Niveau d’effet d’eau) Pour définir le niveau de sortie du signal affecté par le flanger. Vous pouvez régler la balance du FDSP (Flange) en combinant ce paramètre avec celui du niveau direct ci-dessous.
Voice Mode ■ KeyFollow (Suivi au clavier) Pour définir le suivi au clavier des modifications de fréquence de pointe. Ce paramètre permet de contrôler la première fréquence de pointe en fonction des notes jouées au clavier. Réglée sur “+32,” le suivi au clavier est de 100%, et la fréquence de pointe change proportionnellement à la hauteur de la note jouée au clavier. La valeur “0” donne une fréquence de pointe fixe.
■ Polarity (Polarité) Pour définir la direction de modulation du signal d’entrée. Il existe deux réglages à ce niveau, positif (0) et négatif (1). 07: Self FM (Auto modulation de fréquence ou Auto FM) L’Auto FM permet d’ajouter des harmoniques plus riches au son. L’Auto FM fonctionne de la manière suivant : tout d’abord, les signaux d’entrée sont envoyés vers l’unité de retard.
Voice Mode ■ LPF K.Flw (Suivi au clavier du filtre passe-bas) Pour définir le suivi au clavier des fréquences de coupure du filtre passe-bas. Ce paramètre permet de régler la fréquence de coupure en fonction des notes jouées au clavier. ■ Edge Bias Pour déterminer le montant du feedback de la modulation de fréquence. Plus la valeur est grande, plus la gamme d’harmoniques s’élargit vers les harmoniques supérieures. La valeur définie ici s’ajoutera au montant de feedback contrôlé par le générateur d’enveloppe. ❏ Réglages: 0 ~ 127 ■ Drive K.Flw (Suivi au clavier du drive) Pour régler le suivi au clavier du drive. Cette fonction commande la profondeur de modulation en fonction des notes jouées au clavier.
■ Wet Gain (Gain des effets) Pour définir le niveau de sortie maximum du signal modulé. Main freq. -coarse/ fine (fixed) Main OSC Pitch coarse/fine ❏ Réglages: 0~127 Sub OSC Main Input Voice Mode ■ Wet Vel (Vélocité du niveau d’effet) Pour définir la sensibilité à la vélocité du niveau d’effet d’eau. Ceci permet de contrôler le niveau de sortie des signaux modulés en fonction de l’intensité du jeu au clavier.
■ PEG Depth (Profondeur du générateur d’enveloppe de hauteur de son) Pour définir la profondeur du générateur d’enveloppe de hauteur de son qui affecte la hauteur de son de l’onde de modulation. ■ EG Time (Durée du générateur d’enveloppe) Pour définir le temps qui s’écoule entre le moment où la note est jouée au clavier et le moment où le générateur d’enveloppe s’arrête.
■ Pan (Panoramique) Le panoramique est le même que celui du capteur de piano électrique. Les renseignements sont donnés page 126. ■ Drive EG Vel (Vélocité du générateur d’enveloppe du drive) Pour définir la sensibilité à la vélocité du générateur d’enveloppe du drive. La profondeur du générateur d’enveloppe est fonction de la vélocité (intensité) à laquelle les notes sont jouées au clavier. 10: Seismic (effet gras) Voice Mode L’effet Seismic, comme son nom l’indique, rend le son plus grossier.
■ Overdrive Pour définir le montant d’overdrive. ❏ Réglages: 0 ~ 127 Avec le mode édition des voix de batterie vous pourrez créer vos propres ensembles rythmiques en assignant des éléments AWM à chaque note (gamme de hauteur d son C-2~G8 – Do-2~Sol 8) et en réglant les différents paramètres de volume, de hauteur de son et de timbre. ■ HPF (Filtre passe-haut) Pour définir la fréquence à laquelle la bande passante basse des signaux de sortie est coupée. ❏ Réglages: 0 ~ 127 ■ HPF K.
Des traits d’union (---) seront affichés sur la page d’écran à laquelle vous n’aurez pas assigné d’élément et le curseur reste bloqué. [F1]: COM (Commun) [F6]: PARAM (Paramètres) Voice Mode Lorsque vous sélectionnez la voix DRUM (batterie) au menu paramètre, vous dégagez un maximum de 128 éléments AWM avec lesquels vous pourrez créer vos voix de batterie (c’est-à-dire vos ensembles rythmiques). Vous pouvez également faire l’assignation d’élément avec la touche INC/DEC ou avec le pavé numérique.
3 (Pour superposer des éléments sur une touche) 2 Effacez l’élément. Sélectionnez une superposition. Si vous avez superposé plusieurs couches sur la touche sélectionnée, déplacez le curseur sur Layer (Superposition) afin d’assigner un élément à une couche donnée de la superposition. Voice Mode Appuyez sur [F4] pour exécuter la fonction [DEL] (effacement). Les éléments assignés sur cette touche (nom de note) et toutes les superpositions seront effacés.
■ Sample Bank (Banque d’échantillons) Pour sélectionner la banque d’échantillons voulue. Une banque d’échantillon différente peut être sélectionnée pour chaque élément. [F6]: WAVE (Onde) Pour sélectionner les échantillons d’élément (maximum 128) qui constituent une voix et définir les réglages de la boucle de chaque échantillon. Une valeur différente peut être attribuée à chaque élément.
■ Sample Play (Reproduction des échantillous) Pour définir la façon dont l’échantillon sera reproduit. ■ Rev Send (Envoi de réverbération) Pour définir le niveau d’envoi produit par les effets d’insertion 1 et 2 (ou dérivés) vers l’unité de réverbération. ❏ Réglages: FwdLp(Boucle avant), FwdLpEx(Boucle avant+EX), FwdNolp (Avant sans sboucle), RevNoLp(arrierè sans boucle), default(valeur par défaut) Pour plus de renseignements concernant chaque configuration voir page 81.
■ Out (Sélection de la sortie) Pour sélectionner la sortie de chaque partie. Ces réglages vous permettent d’envoyer chaque partie vers une sortie différente. ■ Vel Limit High (Limite supérieure de vélocité) Pour définir la limite supérieure de vélocité des notes jouées au clavier pour chaque échantillon de l’élément détecté.
■ Sync (Synchronisation) Ce commutateur sert à activer ou désactiver la synchronisation. Si la synchronisation est activée, l’oscillateur basses fréquences revient à son état initial chaque fois que les notes sont jouées au clavier. [F4]: FILT (Filtre) Lorsqu’on édite les sonorités rythmiques, il y a quatre menus pour régler les filtres. Les paramètres et réglages sont les mêmes que ceux de l’élément AWM. Pour plus de renseignements, voir page 86.
Voice Job Mode (mode opérations sur les voix) [F8]: EFCT (Effets) Voice Mode Pour définir les effets sur les éléments de batterie. Il est possible de connecter les signaux des 128 éléments maximum sur Insertion Effect 1 ou 2, et de les envoyer vers l’unité de réverbération/chorus. Les paramètres InsRev et InsCho s’ajoutent sur la page d’écran Type pour accentuer les effets d’un élément de batterie particulier. Les autres paramètres sont les mêmes que pour les éléments AWM de la page 105.
5 Appuyez sur [ENTER]. Le menu automatique suivant s’affiche pour vous inviter à valider l’opération. [F2]: Recall Voice (Rappel des voix) Voice Mode Normalement, lorsque vous sélectionnez une voix avant d’avoir sauvegardé celle qui est en cours d’édition, les données que vous avez éditées sont perdues. Avec la fonction de rappel, elles pourront être récupérées même si une autre voix est sélectionnée en cours de travail. 6 Si vous voulez exécuter l’opération, appuyez sur [YES].
■ 4 Types de données source Pour sélectionner le type de données que vous voulez copier. Il est possible de choisir des données communes qui affecteront tous les éléments ou des données spécifiques qui affecteront des éléments particuliers. Wave Edit Mode (Mode édition des ondes) Voice Mode Quand vous sélectionnez une banque DRAM (ou RAM) et un numéro ondes AWM (0001~1024) au paramètres Bank et Number du mode d’édition des voix, le sous menu [F3] (WAVE-EDIT) s’ajoute à la page d’écran WAVE du menu OSC.
9 Réglez les paramètres de la deuxième couche. Passez aux écrans suivants en fonction des opérations que vous souhaitez effectuer et réglez les paramètres correspondants. 1 Sur la page d’écran WAVE, sélectionnez le numéro d’onde que vous souhaitez éditer. Sélectionnez la banque DRAM et un numéro d’onde (0001~1024) dans cette banque. La fonction [F3] (WAVE-EDIT) s’ajoute à l’écran. ) Répétez les étapes 7~9 pour chaque couche. 2 Pour passer en mode Wave Edit appuyez sur [F3] (WAVE-EDIT).

Pour cela, déplacez le curseur à gauche du nom de l’onde et choisissez un code de deux lettres à l’aide de la touche [INC]/[DEC] ou de la molette DATA.
[F8]: ZONE Pour définir les paramètres de mélange (sortie), le panoramique, et tous les paramètres de hauteur de son de tous les échantillons qui composent une onde. Il est possible de régler les paramètres de chaque couche. Pour définir la zone de chaque échantillon (Gamme du clavier et vélocité à laquelle les sons sont reproduits). Il est possible de définir une zone différente pour chaque échantillon/couche.
Wave Job Mode (Mode opérations sur les ondes) Affichage graphique de la zone Voice Mode La zone (Gamme du clavier et vélocité à laquelle le son est reproduit) est affichée à gauche de la page d’écran. La gamme est indiquée par l’axe horizontal, la vélocité par l’axe vertical. La forme du pavé noir, qui représente la gamme des notes, change à mesure que vous modifiez chacun de ces paramètres. Pour passer du mode Wave Edit (édition des ondes) au mode Wave Job (opérations sur les ondes), appuyez sur [JOB].
5 Si vous voulez exécuter l’opération appuyez sur [YES]. L’écran affiche “Completed!” (opération terminée) pour indiquer que l’opération est exécutée et l’affichage revient à la page d’écran précédente. [F2]: Delete Wave (Effacement des ondes) Cette opération permet d’effacer une onde définie ou toutes les ondes en même temps. Voice Mode Pour annuler l’opération, appuyez sur [NO]. Pendant l’exécution d’une opération qui demande un certain temps l’écran indique “Executing...” (en cours d’exécution).

Performance Edit Mode (Mode d’édition des mémoires d’exécution) Menu Part [F1]: COM (Commun) [F2]: PART (Paramètres de chaque partie: une partie s’affiche) [F3]: MLT (Multi) Nous donnons ci-après des explications sur les paramètres du mode édition des mémoires d’exécution, dont certains affecteront toutes les parties et d’autres n’affecteront que des parties individuelles. Les paramètres définis pour chaque mémoire d’exécution peuvent être sauvegardés.
Indication “E” (Edit) Chaque fois que des paramètres sont définis ou chaque fois qu’une opération est modifiée l’indication “ ” (Edition) s’affiche au coin supérieur gauche de l’écran près du numéro de partie. Ceci indique que la mémoire d’exécution sélectionnée est en cours d’édition et qu’elle n’est pas encore sauvegardée. Sélectionnez les touches [F1] et [F2] pour sélectionner la partie qui correspond à la voix que vous voulez éditer, puis appuyez sur la touche [EDIT] pour passer en mode Voice Edit.
■ Total Volume (Volume total) Pour définir le volume d’ensemble des parties. Le volume de chaque partie sera expliqué ultérieurement (voir page 164). ■ Ribbon Mode (Mode contrôleur à ruban) Pour définir les fonctions du contrôleur à ruban. Si vous sélectionnez “reset” (rétablissement) la valeur se rétablit sur la position centrale du ruban lorsque vous dégagez les doigts du contrôleur.
■ Arp Sw (Commutateur d’arpège) Pour activer et désactiver l’arpègement. ■ Arp MIDI A/B (Arpège MIDI OUT A/B) Lorsqu’elle cette fonction est activée, l’arpégiateur est connecté aux sorties MIDI A/B pour laisser passer la phrase des notes d’arpège MIDI. Lorsque la fonction est désactivée, aucune note ne sort du canal MIDI. ❏ Réglages: off (désactivé), on (activé) La touche ARPEGGIO du panneau avant a exactement la même fonction.
■ 2Cho Type (Type de chorus) Sélectionnez le type de chorus de l’unité Chorus. [F8]: CHO (Chorus) Pour définir les différents paramètres de l’effet de chorus sélectionné. ❏ Réglages: 00 (désactivé) ~17 Pour plus de renseignements concernant les types de chorus, voir la liste des types d’effets répertoriés dans le manuel “Listes des données.” ■ 3Cho➝Rev (Chorus➝Réverbération) Pour fixer le niveau du signal de sortie du chorus qui sera envoyé vers l’unité de réverbération.
■ Curve (Courbe) Pour sélectionner la courbe de contrôle affichée à l’extrême droite de l’écran, laquelle définit les caractéristiques du contrôleur sélectionné. [F7]: CTRL (Contrôleur) Il s’agit ici de réglages effectués à partir des contrôleurs. Pour la molette de hauteur de son [PITCH] par exemple, les réglages communs à toutes les parties s’affichent sur la page d’écran sous forme de diagramme à l’intérieur duquel ils pourront être modifiés.
■ Number (Numéro) Pour sélectionner le numéro de voix que vous voulez utiliser à l’intérieur d’une banque de voix sélectionnée. Une fois que vous avez sélectionné un numéro, il s’affiche à droite du nom de voix. Vous pouvez sélectionner un numéro de voix différent pour chaque partie. F2: PART (Partie) Permet d’éditer l’une quelconque des 16 parties qui constituent une mémoire d’exécution. Les paramètres pouvant être définis ici sont les mêmes que ceux expliqués à la page d’écran MLT (multi).
■ MIDI Pan/Vol (Panoramique/Volume du MIDI) Pour activer ou désactiver le Panoramique/Volume MIDI. Si cette fonction est activée, le panoramique et le volume sont affectés à la sortie MIDI et s’ils ne sont pas activés, ils ne le sont pas. [F5]: LYR (Superposition) Les paramètres de superposition touchent principalement les réglages MIDI y compris le canal MIDI, l’activation/la désactivation de l’arpège, la limite et la vélocité de note de chaque partie.
■ 4ArpeggioSw (Commutateur d’arpège) Pour activer ou désactiver le commutateur d’arpège. Affichage graphique des limites de note/vélocité La gamme des notes et de la vélocité sélectionnées aux paramètres ci-dessus est indiquée à gauche de la fenêtre pour les 16 parties. ❏ Réglages: on (activé), off (désactivé) ■ 5Layer Sw (Commutateur de superposition) Permet d'activer ou désactiver le commutateur de superposition. Lorsque le commutateur est activé, vous pouvez jouer deux parties en couches superposées.
■ NoteShift (Décalage de note) Transpose la hauteur des voix de chaque partie d’un demi-ton. wide (large): Courbe qui réduit le volume lorsque le jeu au clavier est léger et accentue le volume lorsque le jeu est lourd. Ceci vous permet d’avoir une gamme dynamique plus large. Volume ❏ Réglages: -24~+24 Il s’agit là principalement de paramètres de son tels que les paramètres du générateur d’enveloppe et le portamento par exemple.
■ Decay Time (Temps d’estompement) Pour définir le temps qu’il faudra au son pour, à partir de son niveau maximum, atteindre le niveau défini au paramètre de durée d’estompement. Lorsquil est réglé sur une valeur positive, la modification s’effectue plus lentement et sur une valeur négative, elle s’effectue plus rapidement. ■ PEG Init (PEG Initial) Pour régler la hauteur de son initiale des notes jouées au clavier.
Réglages qui se rapportent à l’effet portamento de chaque partie. Les trois paramètres suivants sont disponibles. ■ Port Sw (Commutateur de portamento) Pour activer ou désactiver le portamento. Le portamento crée un glissement en douceur pour passer d’une hauteur de son à l’autre quand deux notes se suivent. ■ Trns Sw (Commutateurs de transmission) Pour sélectionner les contrôleurs qui permettront au clavier principal de jouer en mode Performance (mémoire d’exécution).
■ MIDI PC (Changement de programme MIDI) Pour définir les numéros de programme MIDI envoyés vers le dispositif MIDI périphérique lorsque vous effectuez des changements de banque/programme. [F8]: PRE (Préréglage) Réglages relatifs aux valeurs de préréglage et aux éléments MIDI appliqués au générateur de son de chaque partie. ❏ Réglages: 001~128 Vous remarquerez que les programmes sont numérotés de 001~128, alors que les changements de programme MIDI sont numérotées de 0 à 127.
A chaque pression de la touche [F3], les parties 1~4, 5~10 et 11~16 s’affichent en alternance. Boutons ■ Knob To TG (Boutons vers générateur de son) Ceci permet de définir si les valeurs de préréglage des boutons 1-6 doivent être envoyées ou non vers le générateur de son lorsque vous faites des changements de banque/programme. Sur “on”, les messages sont retransmis et sur “off”, ils ne sont pas retransmis.

Sample Mode ■ Sample Bank (Banque d’échantillons) Pour définir la banque contenant l’échantillon que vous voulez reproduire. En mode “stéréo” vous avez la possibilité de définir une banque différente pour chacun des canaux de gauche et de droite indiqués par les lettres L (canal gauche) et R (canal droit). Une sélection “FLASH” est affichée pour accéder à la mémoire flash, mais celle-ci n’est active que si vous avez installé la carte mémoire flash EXFLM1 sur votre EX5/5R/7.
■ Source Pour sélectionner la source d’enregistrement. Pour échantillonner avec, par exemple, un microphone branché sur une prise d’entrée A/D, il faudra sélectionner “A/D” (Analogue/numérique). Dans ce cas l’affichage des barres de niveau d’entrée de chaque canal correspond au mode d’enregistrement sélectionné. Quand vous avez l’intention de ré-échantillonner un échantillon qui se trouve dans la mémoire interne, sélectionnez “Internal.” Dans ce cas les barres de niveau ne s’affichent pas.
7 Vérifiez le niveau d’entrée du microphone ou de l’appareil audio sur la (les) barre(s) de niveau d’entrée. ■ Trigger Level (Niveau de déclenchement) Si vous choisissez de déclencher l’échantillonnage à partir du niveau d’entrée, la paramètre “level” s’affiche. Il sert a définir le niveau de déclenchement de l’échantillonnage. L’échantillonnage démarre automatiquement lorsque les signaux des prises d’entrée A/D INPUT atteignent et dépassent la valeur définie ici (niveau de déclenchement).
6 Pour engager le statut de standby de l’échantillonnage appuyez sur [F8] (STANDBY) ; le message “Waiting...” (En attente ....) s’affiche à l’écran. Processus d’échantillonnage 2 (Rééchantillonage à partir du générateur de son/mémoire interne) 7 Démarrer l’échantillonnage avec la méthode de déclenchement spécifiée à l’étape 4 ci-dessus. Voux pouvez ré-échantillonner soit un échantillon déjà enregistré, soit une onde préenregistrée, soit encore la phrase d’un morceau/figure.
■ Wave Type (type d’onde) Pour afficher le type d’onde de l’échantillon. La fréquence des échantillons enregistrées avec le EX5/5R/7 est fixée à 16 bit linéaires /44,1 KHz. Sample Edit Mode (mode édition des échantillons) Le mode édition des échantillons permet d’éditer les échantillons enregistrés en mode Sample Record, afin de leur donner la forme définitive souhaitée. Les fichiers format AKAI et AIFF peuvent être chargés et écoutés sur le EX5/5R/7.
■ Wave Start (Point de départ) Pour définir le point de départ de la reproduction d’échantillon. Comme nous le voyons dans le diagramme qui suit, il est possible de déplacer le point de départ pour supprimer par exemple les parasites ou les sons indésirables avant ce point. FwdNoLp: L’échantillon est reproduit une fois du point de départ au point de fin chaque fois qu’une note est jouée au clavier.
■ Fraction Réglage précis de la longueur de boucle. Si par exemple la boucle est réglée sur 100, et la fraction de boucle sur 1, la boucle aura une longueur de 100 et 1/64 ème de point. ■ Fraction (Fraction de boucle) Pour définir la fraction de boucle. Identique à celle de la page d’écran PARAM. ❏ Réglages: 0~63 ❏ Réglages: 0~63 ■ START (Point de départ) Pour définir le point de départ de la reproduction de l’échantillon.
Sample Job Mode (mode opérations sur les échantillons) Ces opérations permettent de copier, effacer ou ajouter des échantillons créés en mode édition d’échantillons. F3 Pour passer du mode Sample au mode Sample Job appuyez sur [JOB]. Le menu suivant s’affiche. Ce mode comporte cinq types d’opérations. Pour les sélectionner, appuyez sur [F1] (COPY), [F2] (DEL), [F3] (APND), [F4] (NORM), ou [F5] (EXTR).
4 Appuyez sur [ENTER]. Le menu automatique suivant s’affiche pour vous inviter à valider l’opération. ■ Dst Sample (Banque d’échantillons de destination): Pour sélectionner la banque d’échantillon de destination. ❏ Réglages: DRAM (Mémoire DRAM), FLASH (Mémoire FLASH) ■ Dst Sample (Numéro d’échantillon de destination): Pour sélectionner le numéro d’échantillon sur lequel sera effectuée la copie. 5 Pour exécuter l’opération, appuyez sur [YES].
■ Src1 Sample (Numéro de source de l’échantillon 1): Pour sélectionner le numéro de source de l’échantillon 1. [F5]: Extract Sample (Echantillon Extrait) Cette opération permet d’extraire une partie spécifique d’un échantillon donné et de copier les informations sur un autre échantillon. Les données extraites ne sont pas effacées de l’échantillon source. Contrairement à la copie d’échantillon, cette fonction, permet d’extraire uniquement une partie des données d’échantillons.
Song Mode ■ Remaining Memory (mémoire disponible) Le graphique sous forme de barres indique la mémoire disponible pour l’enregistrement, ou encore la mémoire disponible sur le séquenceur interne. Elle est commune à toutes les fonctions internes du séquenceur, aux morceaux, aux figures et à l’arpégiateur. Song Play Mode (Mode de reproduction de morceau) Ce mode, qui utilise le séquenceur interne offre différentes fonctions liées à la reproduction des morceaux (des séquences).
Pt: Piste de figure Fx: Piste d’effets pour reproduction de figure ■ Loop (Boucle) Pour activer ou désactiver la reproduction en boucle. Le morceau sera reproduit indéfiniment en boucle, laquelle commencera sur la mesure qui aura été définie comme point de départ et s’arrêtera sur la mesure qui aura été définie comme point d’arrêt.
2 Sélectionnez [F5] ALL (toutes les pistes) ou [F6] TR (chaque piste). Appuyez sur [F5] pour sélectionner ALL (toutes les pistes) et envoyer les effets pour la reproduction de toutes les pistes. Par ailleurs, si vous prévoyez des effets différents pour la reproduction de chaque piste, appuyez sur [F6] pour sélectionner le mode TR (chaque piste). Contrôle du morceau La reproduction du morceau se contrôle avec les touches du séquenceur.
■ Tr (Numéro de piste) Indique le numéro de piste sélectionné (1~16). Sélectionnez la piste sur laquelle vous souhaitez envoyer les effets pour la reproduction. ■ Tim (Synchronisation) Pour définir combien de cycles d’horloge du modèle d’expression rythmique (page 189) devront être ajoutés aux données de mise en place du morceau. Sur 100% le décalage d’horloge est conservé tel quel, sur 0% le décalage d’horloge devent nul et les données originales de mise en place ne sont pas modifiées.
■ Clk (Décalage d’horloge) La fonction de décalage d’horloge avance ou retarde (décale) la mise en place du morceau reproduit en unités d’horloge. Une unité d’horloge équivaut à 1/480e de noire. Réglé sur une valeur positive, la mise en place du morceau est retardée (décalée vers l’arrière). Réglé sur une valeur négative, la mise en place est avancée (décalée vers l’avant).
■ Gat (Temps de fermeture) Pour définir le taux du temps de fermeture. On obtient le temps de fermeture réel en multipliant le temps de fermeture d’origine par le taux défini ici. Réglé sur 100%, le temps de fermeture d’origine reste inchangé. Réglé sur une valeur supérieure à 100%, le temps de fermeture est prolongé alors que réglé sur une valeur inférieure à 100%, il est raccourcit. [F8]: GROOVE (Modèle d’expression rythmique) Pour passer à l’affichage GROOVE, appuyez sur la touche [F8].
■ Tr (Numéro de piste) Indique le numéro de piste sélectionné (1~16). Sélectionnez la piste sur laquelle vous voulez éditer le modèle d’expression rythmique. s’affichent à mesure que le triange se déplace sur la grille pour permettre de vérifier les valeurs. Si vous avez sélectionné un modèle d’expression rythmique utilisateur, vous pouvez régler les valeurs de chaque paramètre en unités de grille.
[F6]: COPY [F5]: All (Toutes) [F6]: TR (Piste) Permet de copier le modèle d’expression rythmique préenregistré sur un modèle utilisateur. Vous pouvez utiliser un modèle préenregistré comme base pour créer vos propres modèles. Si [F5] est sélectionné: les changements effectués affectent toutes les pistes. Si [F6] est sélectionné: les changements effectués affectent une piste donnée.
Song Record Mode (Mode d’enregistrement des morceaux) Comment passer en mode enregistrement de morceau (Song Record) En mode Song Play, appuyez sur la touche du séquenceur [REC] (Enregistrement). Le témoin [REC] s’allume pour indiquer que le mode enregistrement de morceau est activé et en standby. Le mode d’enregistrement des morceaux permet d’enregistrer soit en temps réel soit pas à pas.
■ Track (Piste) Pour sélectionner la piste sur laquelle vous voulez enregistrer. Vous pouvez sélectionner les pistes 1~16 avec les touches TRACK [1~16] (Modèles EX5/7 uniquement). [F1]: SONG (Morceau) Différents réglages doivent être effectués pour enregistrer un morceau ; il faut par exemple sélectionner la piste d’enregistrement, régler les paramètres de l’armature et le tempo.
Pour les pistes d’effets des figures (PFX) [F5]: STEP (Enregistrement pas à pas) ■ Ptn Tr(Piste de figures) Pour sélectionner une des pistes 1-8 (de la figure) sur laquelle vous affecterez et enregistrerez les effets pour la reproduction des figures. Pour activer ou désactiver le mode Pas à pas. Appuyez sur [F5] pour activer le mode enregistrement pas à pas; STEP apparaît alors dans un pavé noir. Les notes peuvent être programmées une par une.
8 Appuyez sur [STOP] pour arrêter l’enregistrement et revenir automatiquement au mode de Song Play. Enregistrement en temps réel: Tr1~Tr16 L’enregistrement en temps réel s’apparente tout à fait à l’enregistrement multipistes puisqu’il permet d’enregistrer les performances telles quelles sont jouées.
8 Modifiez les numéros de figures que vous voulez utiliser et enregistrez les. Pendant l’enregistrement, ne déplacez pas le curseur du paramètre Ptn No pour définir les numéros de figure: utilisez la molette DATA, les touches [INC]/ [DEC] et le pavé numérique. 5 Sélectionnez les pistes de figures (1-8) pour enregistrer les effets pour reproduction au paramètre Ptn Tr. Si vous voulez enregistrer les effets pour la reproduction de toutes les pistes en même temps, sélectionnez “All” au paramètre Ptn Tr.
9 Appuyez sur [STOP] pour arrêter l’enregistrement et passer automatiquement en mode Song Play. Enregistrement en temps réel: Tempo La fonction d’enregistrement en temps réel du tempo modifie le tempo de la piste Tempo de morceau. Vous pouvez modifier le tempo au milieu d’un morceau. Vous disposez pour cela de deux formes d’enregistrement: par Remplacement et par Insertion. Il n’est pas possible d’utiliser ici le mode Multi et le mode surimpression (Over Dubbing).
■ Time Signature (Armature) Affiche l’armature du morceau en cours d’enregistrement. La signature affichée ne peut pas être modifiée. Il faut sélectionner une signature d’enregistrement avant de passer en mode enregistrement pas à pas. ■ Beat Graph (Graphique des battements) Le graphique des battements permet de vérifier et de caler l’emplacement des notes à l’intérieur d’une mesure. Le trait d’union “-” a une valeur de triple croche.
7 Définir la longueur de note et sa vélocité et jouez la note au clavier. La touche de déplacement vers le bas ↓ se déplace vers l’avant sur une distance égale à la longueur de note jouée au clavier. Explication du clavier Montre la ou les note(s) qui se trouvent à l’emplacement indiqué par la flèche de déplacement vers le bas ↓.
Song Edit Mode (Mode d’édition de morceau) Enregistrement des staccatos et des coulés Déplacez le curseur sur le paramètre temps de fermeture (Gate Time). Sélectionnez ensuite Stac (Staccato) ou Slur (coulé) et jouez une note au clavier. La note enregistrée aura le temps de fermeture que vous avez sélectionné. En principe, il est réglé sur Norm (Normal). Le mode d’édition de morceau permet d’éditer les événements d’un morceau enregistré en temps réel ou en pas à pas.
■ Bend (Variation de hauteur de son) Pour éditer les valeurs de variation de hauteur de son. Insertion Pour insérer un événement il faut d’abord désigner l’emplacement où doit se faire l’insertion puis sélectionner l’événement. Validez ensuite avec [ENTER]. Modification Pour modifier l’emplacement d’un événement, définissez l’emplacement et appuyez sur [ENTER]. Effacement Pour effacer un événement, déplacez le curseur sur l’événement que vous voulez effacer et appuyez sur [F8] (Effacement).
■ CAT (Après-toucher de canal) Pour définir la valeur d’après-toucher du canal. L’aprèstoucher est appliqué à un canal (piste). ■ NRPN (Numéro de paramètre non enregistré) Pour éditer le numéro de paramètre non enregistré (Numéro de paramètre MSB/LSB et données d’entrée MSB/LSB). 1 1 2 3 4 ❏ Réglages: ❏ Réglages: 1 Valeur: 0~127 1 NRPN MSB: 000~127 ■ PAT (Après-toucher de polyphonique) Pour éditer les données d’après-toucher de polyphonique (la note et sa valeur).
3 Pour sélectionner le numéro de piste que vous voulez éditer, appuyez sur les touches de piste [1~16]. La liste des événements de la piste sélectionnée s’affiche. Insertion des événements Vous pouvez également insérer de nouveaux événements non compris dans les données de performances (mémoire d’exécution). Sur le modèle EX5R, il faut sélectionner la piste avant de passer en mode d’édition de morceau. 1 Pour passer du mode Song Play au mode Song Edit, appuyez sur la touche [EDIT].
[F2]: PFX (Piste des effets pour reproduction de figures) Changement des commandes Permet d’insérer de nouvelles commandes d’effets pour la reproduction de chaque piste de figures (1~8) ou de modifier l’emplacement et la valeur des données d’événements au cours de l’édition des pistes d’effets pour la reproduction de figures. Pour afficher la liste des événements appuyez sur [F2] (PFX).
Song Job Mode (mode opérations sur les morceaux) [F4]: TEMPO (Piste de tempo) Permet soit d’insérer des données de tempo (changement de tempo) soit de modifier l’emplacement et la valeur des données de tempo existantes pendant l’édition d’une piste de tempo. Appuyez sur [F4] (TEMPO) pour afficher la liste des événements de pistes de tempo. Les fonctions [F5] INS (Insertion) et [F6] CHNG (Changement) s’affichent sur le menu et la fonction [F8] DEL (Effacement) est ajoutée pour effacer les données.
Lorsque vous passez en mode Song Job, le menu suivant s’affiche. Ce mode comporte 22 types d’opérations, divisés en trois groupes JOB 1~3. Pour sélectionner un menu, appuyer sur [F2] (JOB1), [F3] (JOB2) ou [F4] (JOB3). La fonction Annuler/Rétablir (Undo/Redo) est assignée à la touche [F7] qui est la touche d’annulation des modifications effectuées au cours de l’opération la plus récente. 6 Appuyez sur [ENTER]. Le menu automatique suivant s’affiche pour vous inviter à valider l’opération.
■ Dst Track (Piste de Destination) Pour définir la piste de destination du mixage. 2. Copy Track (copie de piste) Cette opération permet de copier toutes les données d’une piste définie sur une autre piste. Les effets pour la reproduction du morceau et autres paramètres sont copiés en même temps. Cette opération écrase toutes les données déjà enregistrées sur la piste de destination. ❏ Réglages: 1~16 5.
■ Dst Track (Piste de destination) Pour définir la piste sur laquelle les données seront copiées. [F3]: JOB2 Pour afficher le menu du JOB2, appuyez sur [F3] (JOB2). Dans ce menu, huit opérations peuvent être exécutées sur chaque unité de mesure.
■ Measure (Mesure) Pour définir l’emplacement (la première mesure d’insertion) où seront insérées les mesures vides. ■ Track (Piste) Pour définir la piste sur laquelle sera exécutée la réduction. ❏ Réglages: 001~999 ❏ Réglages: 1~16 (Pistes de Séquence 1~16), tempo ■ Size (Taille) Pour définir le nombre de mesures vides à insérer. ■ Measure (Mesure) Pour définir la plage des mesures (mesures de début et mesures de fin de réduction) sur lesquelles sera exécutée la réduction.
■ Track (Piste) Pour sélectionner la piste à partir de laquelle les données seront extraites (source d’extraction) et la piste sur laquelle les données seront copiées (destination des extractions). ■ Track (Piste) Pour définir la piste sur laquelle le tri des accords sera exécuté. ❏ Réglages: 1~16 (pistes de séquences 1~16) ■ Measure (Mesure) Pour définir les mesures (mesures de début et mesures de fin) sur lesquelles les accords seront triés.
[F4]: JOB3 onnée originale Appuyer sur la touche [F4] (JOB3) pour afficher le menu de JOB3. Huit opérations différentes peuvent être exécutées sur les événements de notes d’une piste donnée. Valeur d'une noire Quantifée d'une “ ” Amplitude=100% Quantifée d'une“ ” Amplitude=100% Le taux de quantification permet également d’ajouter du swing au rythme. Ces réglages servent à décaler légèrement les événements de notes de tous les battements pairs, afin de donner une impression de swing au morceau.
■ Streng (Amplitude de quantification) L’amplitude de quantification définit le degré de décalage de l’événement de note vers la ligne de quantification ou la valeur de quantification originale. l’utilisation de ce paramètre permet de recaler les notes nettement décalées par rapport à la valeur rythmique, tout en maintenant les écarts subtils.
Pour la valeur de quantification d’une 0% 33% , 66% , 83% ■ Vel (Vélocité du Swing) Ces paramètres permettent de modifier la vélocité (l’intensité des événements de notes) sur tous les battements pairs de l’intervalle musical défini, afin de rendre le rythme plus “swing.” : 100% Gamme utilisable Nous rappelons que la vélocité est l’intensité avec laquelle une note est jouée au clavier. Vous pouvez utiliser ce réglage pour augmenter ou diminuer la force des notes sur chaque battement pair.
■ Track (Piste) Pour définir la piste sur laquelle le déplacement d’horloge doit être exécuté. ■ Rate (Taux) Pour augmenter ou réduire le temps de fermeture de toutes les notes d’une gamme spécifiée selon un taux de modification défini. Un réglage de 100% ne donne aucune modification. Un réglage inférieur à 100% raccourcit le temps de fermeture, alors qu’un réglage supérieur à 100% allonge le temps de fermeture.
4. Modify Velocity (Modification de la vélocité) Donée d'origine Cette opération permet de modifier la vélocité des notes d’une gamme définie. La vélocité signifie l’intensité avec laquelle les notes sont jouées au clavier. Elle se modifie à partir de deux paramètres: le taux et la compensation. (Vel) 96 Le volume de la voix sélectionnée diffère selon les paramètres de vélocité attribués en mode édition des voix.
■ FromNote (note source) Pour définir la hauteur de son qui sera modifiée. 5. Transpose (Transposition) Cette opération permet de transposer toutes les notes d’un morceau défini de la piste sélectionnée par intervalles de demi-tons. ❏ Réglages: C-2~G8 (Do-2~Sol 8) ■ To Note (note de destination) Pour définir la hauteur de son après modification. ❏ Réglages: C-2~G8 (Do-2~Sol 8) 7. Crescendo Cette opération permet de diminuer ou d’augmenter progressivement le volume d’un morceau.
■ Dst Event (Evénement de Destination)] Pour définir l’événement qui remplacera l’événement source. Donée d'origine ❏ Réglages: Control Change, Ch After Touch (Channel After Touch), Pitch Bend, Note (Note#: the data change of the source event will be replaced with note numbers with the fixed velocity 64 and fixed gate time 108), Note (Vel: the data change of the source event will be replaced with velocities with the fixed pitch C3 and fixed gate time 108).

Pour activer ou désactiver cette fonction, déplacer le curseur sur la ligne FxThru et la molette DATA ou [INC]/[DEC] sur “On” ou “Off”. Le pavé noir que nous voyons dans le diagramme indique que la fonction dérivation des effets pour la reproduction est activée et que les effets sont provisoirement dérivés.
6 Définition des autres paramètres. Définissez les autres paramètres selon les besoins. Etapes de configuration des effets de reproduction. 7 Réglage des effets de reproduction de chaque piste. Répétez les étapes 3~6 ci-dessus pour définir les paramètres de configuration des effets pour la reproduction de toutes les pistes que vous souhaitez utiliser. 1 Démarrage de la reproduction d’une figure. Appuyer sur la touche [PLAY] pour faire démarrer la reproduction d’une figure.
■ Clock Number (Numéro d’horloge) Pour afficher et définir le numéro d’horloge de la piste sélectionnée. Les paramètres diffèrent selon l’armature en cours. [F3]: TCH (Canal de transmission) Pour définir le canal de transmission de chaque piste et l’emplacement vers lequel seront envoyées les données. Déplacez le curseur sur un paramètre, positionnez le commutateur sur “on” ou sur “off”, et réglez le canal MIDI à l’aide de la touche [INC]/[DEC].
Pattern Record Mode (Mode d’enregistrement de figures) Il existe deux formes d’enregistrement de figures, l’enregistrement en temps réel et l’enregistrement pas-àpas. Les deux méthodes comportent en outre un certain nombre de fonctions liées à l’enregistrement. Par ailleurs, la mémoire interne a une capacité de cinquante figures maximum. Vous pourrez sauvegarder sur disquette les figures que vous avez créées ou enregistrées afin de les avoir à portée de main chaque fois que vous voudrez les utiliser.
■ No (numéro de figure) Pour sélectionner le numéro de figure que vous voulez enregistrer. Le nom de la figure s’affiche à droite de son numéro. [F6]: OVER (Sélection de l’enregistrement en surimpresssion) Pour activer ou désactiver l’enregistrement en surimpression sonore. Appuyez sur [F6], pour activer l’enregistrement en surimpression ; OVER apparaît alors dans un pavé noir. Cette fonction permet d’enregistrer en temps réel par-dessus les données qui ont été déjà enregistrées.
5 Sélectionnez la piste d’enregistrement (Tr1-8) aux paramètres de piste. 2 Lorsque l’affichage PFX du mode Pattern Play est affiché, sélectionnez la longueur (longueur de boucle) de chaque piste (1-8). 6 Sélectionnez un des modes d’enregistrement suivants : [F6] (surimpression) or [F7] (par remplacement). Pour enregistrer sur toutes les pistes en même temps, appuyez sur [F3] (MULTI) : le mode Multi-pistes est engagé et ressort en noir.
2 Pour sélectionner la piste à éditer appuyez sur les touches de piste [1~8]. La liste des événements de la piste sélectionnée s’affiche. Pattern Edit Mode (Mode d’édition de figure) Pour passer du mode Pattern au mode Pattern Edit, appuyez sur [EDIT].Le mode d’édition de figure permet d’éditer les événements de figure de chaque piste de séquence 1~8, enregistrés en temps réel ou en pas-à-pas. Sur le modèle EX5R, il faut sélectionner la piste avant de passer en mode édition de figure.
3 Déplacez le curseur sur l’emplacement de l’événement à modifier, puis éditez les paramètres. Pattern Job Mode (mode opérations sur les figures) Vous pouvez faire défiler la liste des événements et rechercher leur emplacement ou sélectionner les paramètres avec les touches de déplacement vertical$#❷. Vous pouvez aussi atteindre les paramètres avec les touches de déplacement horizontal ➛/❿. Lorsque le curseur est déplacé sur un événement les données de la note correspondante sont audibles.
6 Appuyez sur [ENTER]. Le menu automatique suivant s’affiche pour vous inviter à valider l’opération. Lorsque vous passez en mode Pattern Job, le menu suivant s’affiche. Ce mode comporte 24 types d’opérations divisées en trois groupes, JOB13. Pour sélectionner un menu, appuyer sur [F2] (JOB1), [F3] (JOB2) ou [F4] (JOB3). La fonction Undo/Redo (Annuler/Rétablir) est assignée à la touche [F7] qui est la touche d’annulation des modifications que vous avez effectuées au cours de l’opération la plus récente.
■ Src Ptn (Figure source) Pour définir le numéro de figure source. 1. Copy Pattern (Copie de Figure) Cette opération permet de copier toutes les données d’une figure source vers une figure de destination définie. Les effets pour la reproduction des figures et autres réglages sont copiés en même temps. ❏ Réglages: 1~50 ■ SrcTrk (Piste source) Pour définir la piste source qui sera copiée. ❏ Réglages: 1~8 ■ Dst Ptn (Figure de destination) Pour définir le numéro de figure de destination.

La deuxième moitié des données de piste scindées pourra être déplacée au début de la piste d’une autre figure (figure de destination de la moitié scindée) alors que la première moitié des données reste à son emplacement d’origine.
8. Time Stretch (changement de durée d’exécution) 1. Copy Measure (Copie des Mesures) Cette opération permet d’allonger ou de raccourcir la durée d’exécution d’une portion de piste définie. Elle affecte toutes les valeurs de notes, le temps de fermeture des notes et les événements, du fait qu’elle allonge ou raccourci la totalité de la portion de piste définie. Cette opération permet de copier toutes les données de la portion de piste spécifiée sur une autre piste.
■ Measure (Mesure) Pour définir la plage des mesures à effacer (mesures de début et mesures de fin d’effacement). ■ Track (Piste source) Pour définir la piste qui contient la phrase qui sera copiée. ❏ Réglages: 01 ~ 16 (première et dernière mesures effacées) ❏ Réglages: 1~8 ■ Dst Track (Piste de destination) Pour définir la piste de séquence de morceau vers laquelle la phrase sera copiée. 3.

8.Chord Separate (Classement des notes d’accord) [F4]: JOB3 Cette opération sert à classer les notes de l’accord selon un certain intervalle (à l’intérieur de la portion définie d’une piste de séquence donnée).
■ Streng (Amplitude de quantification) 3. Modify GateTime (Modification du temps de fermeture) Cette opération sert à modifier le temps de fermeture des notes à l’intérieur d’un intervalle défini. Le temps de fermeture correspond à l’espace de temps pendant lequel une note est maintenue. Le temps de fermeture des voix fortes (tenues) correspond à la durée réelle de reproduction. Il se modifie à partir de deux paramètres: le taux et la compensation.

Arpeggio Mode Quand vous sélectionnez le type d’arpège utilisateur au sous menu ARP (arpège) de COM (commun) du mode Voice Edit (ou ARP de COM du mode Performance Edit) la fonction [ARP-EDIT] est assignée à la touche [F3] ([F5]. Pour passer en mode arpège appuyez sur [F3] (ou [F5] en mode Performance Edit).
Track Section (Portion de piste) 4 5 8 ) 6 7 9 ! Ces paramètres servent à activer ou désactiver les fonctions de silencieux et la dérivation des effets pour reproduction sur chaque piste pendant le playback des arpèges. 1 2 3 ■ 4 Meas (Mesure) Pour indiquer le nombre de mesures et de battements de l’arpège sélectionnée. Le réglage peut être effectué mesure par mesure. ❏ Réglages: les réglages diffèrent en fonction de la longueur de l’arpège (001~016).
■ ) Key (touche) Pour définir le mode clavier, c’est à dire activer les arpèges lorsque les notes sont jouées au clavier (enfoncement des touches). Les modes suivants sont disponibles: Arpèges joués comme accords L’arpégiateur reproduit les notes (hauteurs de son) jouées au clavier d’une certaine manière et dans un certain ordre en fonction des données de séquence préenregistrées.
3 Sélection de la piste sur laquelle vous voulez envoyer les effets pour la reproduction. Si vous avez sélectionné l’option TR (chaque piste) à l’étape 2, marquez une des quatre piste’s Tr 1~4. [F2]: PFX (Effets pour reproduction) Ces paramètres concernent les effets pour les reproductions. Cette fonction permet de régler provisoirement la vélocité (intensité) et la mise en place des notes MIDI. Vous pouvez modifier le groove (expression rythmique) de la reproduction sans altérer les données originales.
■ Unit (unité) Permet d’allonger ou de raccourcir la durée de reproduction de chaque piste. Par exemple, si vous réglez sur une durée de reproduction de 200%, la séquence durera deux fois plus de temps et donc le tempo sera deux fois plus lent. Inversement, si vous réglez la séquence à 50%, la durée de reproduction sera réduite de moitié et le tempo sera deux fois plus rapide. Réglé sur 100%, la durée n’est pas modifiée.
Avec les modes qui suivent, les arpèges sont reproduitent en fonction de la hauteur de son de leur séquence. Des accords arpégés typiques seront constitués selon les notes jouées au clavier et la mise en place des séquences. 05:note down 1oct (note diminuée d’une octave): L’accord (phrase) est diminué d’une octave. Do 3, Mi 3, Sol 3 et Si 3 sont reproduites dans l’ordre. 02:note up 1oct (note augmentée d’une octave): L’accord (la phrase) joué au clavier est augmenté d’une octave.
11:alternate2 1oct (alternance 2 1 octave): L’accord (phrase) est augmenté d’une octave, puis diminué jusqu’à la note la plus grave. Résultat légèrement différent de celui obtenu en 08 ci-dessus. Arpèges joués comme accords Les données d’une séquence d’arpèges peuvent contenir des accords, plusieurs notes au même emplacement (au même moment). Do 3, Mi 3, Sol 3 et Si 3 sont reproduites dans l’ordre.
Arpeggio Record Mode (mode enregistrement des arpèges) Comment passer en mode enregistrement des arpèges. En mode Arpeggio, appuyez sur la touche [REC] (enregistrement) du séquenceur. Le témoin [REC] s’allume pour indiquer que le mode Arpeggio Record est engagé et est en standby. Il existe deux formes d’enregistrement des arpèges, l’enregistrement en temps réel et l’enregistrement pas-àpas. Les deux méthodes comportent en outre un certain nombre de fonctions liées à l’enregistrement.
■ Meas(Mesure) Pour définir le numéro de la mesure sur laquelle commence l’enregistrement à l’aide des touches de séquenceur (il n’est pas possible d’avoir recours au curseur). Enregistrement en temps réel L’enregistrement en temps réel s’apparente tout à fait à l’enregistrement multipistes ; vous enregistrez sur chaque piste (Tr1-4) à mesure que vous jouez.
Arpeggio Edit Mode (Mode d’édition des arpèges) Pour passer de l’écran du Mode Arpeggio (ou du mode Arpeggio Job) au mode Arpeggio Edit appuyez sur [EDIT]. Le mode Arpeggio Edit permet d’éditer les événements d’arpèges de chaque piste de séquence 1~4, enregistrés en temps réel ou en pas-à-pas. Procédé d’enregistrement pas-à-pas La touche [F5] INS (Insertion) sert à insérer de nouveaux événements. La touche [F6] CHNG (Changement) sert à changer la position ou la valeur des données déjà enregistrées.
2 Pour sélectionner la piste que vous voulez éditer, appuyez sur les touches Track [1~4] (uniquement le modèle EX5/7). La liste des événements de la piste sélectionnée s’affiche. Insertion des événements Vous pouvez insérer de nouveaux événements non compris dans les séquences d’arpèges. 1 Pour passer du mode Arpeggio (ou Arpeggio Job) au mode Arpeggio Edit appuyez sur la touche [EDIT]. La liste des événements s’affiche.
Arpeggio Job Mode (mode opérations sur les arpèges) Lorsque vous passez en mode Arpeggio Job, le menu suivant s’affiche. Ce mode comporte 24 types d’opérations divisées en trois groupes, JOB1~3. Pour sélectionner un menu, appuyer sur [F2] (JOB1), [F3] (JOB2) ou [F4] (JOB3). La fonction Undo/Redo (Annuler/Rétablir) est assignée à la touche [F7] qui est la touche d’annulation des modifications que vous avez effectuées au cours de l’opération la plus récente.
6 Appuyez sur [ENTER]. Le menu automatique suivant s’affiche pour vous inviter à valider l’opération. 1. Copy Arpeggio (Copie d’arpèges) Cette opération permet de copier toutes les données d’un arpège source vers un arpège de destination défini. Les effets pour reproduction d’arpèges et autres réglages sont copiés en même temps. Cette fonction est pratique quand vous voulez créer un arpège personnalisé similaire à un arpège préenregistré. 7 Si vous voulez exécuter l’opération, appuyez sur [YES].

Les effets pour reproduction d’arpège et autres paramètres sont copiés en même temps. Cette opération écrase toutes les données déjà enregistrées sur la piste de destination.
■ Dst Track (Piste de Destination) Pour définir la piste de destination de la figure ajoutée. 8. Time Stretch (changement de durée d’exécution) Cette opération permet d’allonger ou de raccourcir la durée d’exécution d’une portion de piste définie. Elle affecte toutes les valeurs de notes, le temps de fermeture des notes et les événements, du fait qu’elle allonge ou raccourci la totalité de la portion de piste définie. ❏ Réglages: 1~4 7.

Copy Measure (Copie des Mesures) Cette opération permet de copier toutes les données de la portion de piste spécifiée sur une autre piste. Il est également possible de déplacer les données à l’intérieur d’une même piste. Cette opération écrase les données existantes sur la piste ou la portion de piste de destination.
■ Track (Piste) Pour sélectionner la piste à partir de laquelle les données seront extraites (source d’extraction) et la piste sur laquelle les données seront copiées (destination des extractions). 4. Thin Out (Réduction) Cette opération permet d’éliminer certains types d’événements autres que l’événement de note sur une partie déterminée de la piste. Le but de cette opération est de réduire le volume des données afin de libérer de la mémoire.
■ Track (Piste) Pour définir la piste sur laquelle les accords seront classés. 6.Chord Sort (tri d’accord) Cette opération trie les accords (événements de notes simultanées) par ordre de hauteur. Les notes sont triées de la plus aiguë à la plus grave, ou de la plus grave à la plus aiguë. Ainsi, il est possible de trier les accords qui se trouvent à l’intérieur de la portion définie d’une piste de séquence donnée.
1. Quantize (Quantification) 2. Move Clock (Déplacement de l’horloge) Cette opération permet de quantifier les événements de notes dans une portion définie de la piste sélectionnée. Elle est utile pour corriger la mise en place d’une performance que vous avez enregistrée en temps réel par exemple. Cette opération permet de décaler toutes les données de la portion définie d’une piste d’arpèges donnée par unité d’horloge.

Disk Mode Le mode disquette permet de transférer les données d’une disquette vers le EX5/5R/7; vous pourrez ainsi sauvegarder les données et les charger dans la mémoire interne. En outre, si vous installez la carte interface SCSI, vous pourrez également transférer les données entre un dispositif de sauvegarde périphérique, un disque dur par exemple et votre EX5/5R/7.
■ 2. Synth All Un fichier “Synth All” traite toutes les données d’une voix et d’une mémoire d’exécution internes (265 voix et 128 performances) ainsi que les données du système dans un fichier unique. • Ne jamais ouvrir le chargeur ou toucher les parties exposées de l’intérieur de la disquette.
■ 6. SONG (Morceau) Un ficher “SONG” traite toutes les données d’un morceau créé en mode Song dans un fichier unique. Un fichier “Song” comprend aussi les données qui se rapportent aux effets pour la reproduction, au canal de transmission de piste et aux contrôleurs. Remarque 3: La fonction “Direct Play” permet de faire partir instantanément la reproduction du morceau sans avoir à charger les données de la disquette.
2 Déplacez le curseur sur une des sept opérations du menu de base et validez avec [ENTER].`Vous pouvez également sélectionner directement une opération du menu à l’aide des touches de fonction [F1]~[F7] sous la fenêtre. [F6]: PLAY (reproduction) Si choisissez de charger un fichier “SMF” (au Format 0), la touche [F6] (PLAY) s’ajoute à l’écran pour indiquer que la fonction reproduction directe (Direct Play - page 261) est activée. Pour écouter le fichier SMF sélectionné appuyez sur [F6].
6 Validez avec [ENTER]. Le menu automatique s’affiche, pour vous inviter à valider l’opération. Setting the File Name (Définition du nom de fichier) 1 Appuyez sur [F7] pour passer à l’écran Name. 7 Si vous voulez exécuter l’opération appuyez sur [YES] (INC). Pour annuler l’opération appuyez sur [NO]. Pendant que l’opération est exécutée l’écran affiche “Executing...” (opération en cours). Quand l’opération est terminée l’indication “Complete!” (opération terminée) s’affiche pendant un instant.
[F2]: SYN (Synth All) [F5]: SMF (Fichier MIDI) Pour sauvegarder toutes les données de voix internes, de performance (265 voix et 128 performances) et de système en tant que fichier. Les données de séquence et d’échantillon ne sont pas inclues dans les fichiers “SYN.” Pour sauvegarder les donnes des pistes de séquences (TR1~TR16) et des pistes de tempo (créées en mode Song sous forme de données de morceau) en tant que fichier SMF (fichier MIDI standard).
[F8]: ARP (Arpège) Si la capacité de mémoire disponible est insuffisante un message de mémoire pleine “Memory Full” s’affiche. Dans ce cas, vous avez la possibilité soit d’effacer les fichiers dont vous n’avez pas besoin pour libérer de la mémoire, soit redémarrer le chargement depuis le début. Pour sauvegarder toutes les données d’arpèges utilisateurs dans un fichier unique.
■ Synth All source data (A partir de) (Le cas échéant, sélectionnez le dispositif des données sources,) déplacez le curseur sur un numéro de fichier, et sélectionnez un fichier source de chargement parmi les fichiers performance/voix (128 Performances et 256 Voix). Déplacez le curseur sur “All Data” et sélectionnez “Performance” (128 Performances) ou “Voice” (256 Voix) à l’aide de la touche [INC]/[DEC]. Vous pouvez également désigner et charger une seule performance/voix.
■ Sample destination data (Vers) La destination des fichiers chargés dépend des paramètres attribués à “From” (A partir de). [F6]: SONG (Morceau) Pour charger un fichier de morceau d’une disquette dans la mémoire interne. Les fichiers de morceau comprennent également les données d’effets pour la reproduction, de canal de transmission de piste et de contrôleur.
■ Pattern destination data (Vers) La destination des fichiers chargés dépend des paramètres attribués à “From” (A partir de). [F3]: RNAM (Renommer un fichier) Cette opération permet de renommer les fichiers des disquettes.
[F5]: MKDIR (Créer un répertoire) Cette opération permet de créer un répertoire. Vous pouvez créer un nouveau répertoire à l’intérieur d’un répertoire, ce qui donne un sous-répertoire. Ceci est pratique pour systématiser le classement des fichiers. Il n’est pas possible de créer plus de deux niveaux de sousrépertoires. Introduisez une disquette neuve dans le lecteur (si vous utilisez un dispositif périphérique SCSI, vérifiez qu’il est bien connecté) et appuyez sur [ENTER].
Utility Mode Le mode utilitaire (Utility Mode) permet de définir les paramètres du système, à l’exception des paramètres [F2] du mode VOICE. F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6 [F1]: SYN (Réglages du synthétiseur) Les réglages du synthétiseur permettent de définir les paramètres de l’ensemble du clavier, le volume ou la hauteur de son par exemple. F7 ■ Master Volume (Volume principal) Définit le volume principal du synthétiseur.
■ 3 Arp MIDI A/B (Arpégiateur MIDI A/B) Pour définir si les données de l’arpégiateur doivent être transmises ou non vers un dispositif périphérique par les sorties MIDI A/B. ■ Controller Reset (réinitialisation des contrôleurs) Pour définir si les valeurs des différents contrôleurs sont retenues (maintenues) ou réinitialisées quand on sélectionne une autre voix.
■ Arp Hold (Maintien de l’arpégiateur) Pour activer ou désactiver la fonction de maintien de l’apégiateur (Arpeggiator Hold) en mode VOICE. Lorsque la fonction est activée (Arp Hold sur “on”) l’arpège est maintenue entre le moment où vous jouez une note au clavier et le moment où vous jouez la note suivante, sans avoir à garder les doigts sur le clavier. ■ Curve (Courbe) Pour définir et modifier la courbe des contrôleurs (affichée à droite de la valeur).
[F7]: FILT (Filtre) [F8]: SYNC (SYNCHRONISATION) Pour définir si le filtre est appliqué ou non (les signaux ne sont ni envoyés ni reçus) sur les événements MIDI. Pour définir les paramètres de synchronisation entre le séquenceur interne et les dispositifs périphériques. Le filtre peut être appliqué sur chaque événement aussi bien à l’enregistrement qu’à la lecture. Les événements MIDI filtrés ne peuvent être ni enregistrés ni reproduits. La liste des événements MIDI pouvant être filtrés est la suivante.
MTC (MIDI Time Code - code de temps MIDI) est un code de temps qui contrôle la synchronisation de plusieurs appareils audio par l’intermédiaire des câbles MIDI. Le code est défini en Heures, minutes, secondes et images. Le EX ne peut pas générer de code MTC et donc pour pouvoir synchroniser en MTC il faut prévoir un appareil au format MTC tel que le YAMAHA MD4 par exemple. [F4]: MIDI (Réglage MIDI) La fonction MIDI Setup permet de régler les paramètres MIDI pour l’ensemble du clavier.
■ Device No (Numéro de dispositif) Pour définir le numéro de dispositif MIDI. Pour envoyer ou recevoir des messages d’exclusivité du système, un message de transfert en masse ou de changement de paramètres par exemple, à partir ou vers un dispositifs périphérique, il faut que les numéros de ce dispositif correspondent sur le EX et sur le dispositif lui-même.
■ Memory Protect (protection de la mémoire) Pour définir si les voix (Voice), mémoires d’exécution (Performance) et figures (Pattern) utilisateur doivent être protégées ou non. Lorsque ce paramètre est réglé sur “on,” il n’est pas possible de sauvegarder les données. Ce réglage s’utilise de façon provisoire si vous ne voulez pas perdre les données utilisateur. “Touch EG” Vous pouvez exprimer la partie “A” avec une certaine vélocité et la partie “B” avec le toucher après enfoncement.
■ Word Clock (Horloge word) Pour définir si le EX sera utilisé en tant que Word Clock maître ou esclave. “Word Clock” signifie synchronisation des signaux audio qui passent par les dispositifs numériques. Cette fonction doit être activée si vous connectez un ou plusieurs appareils audio pour écouter ou enregistrer. Lorsque vous utilisez le EX comme Word Clock maître la fréquence d’échantillonnage doit être réglée sur 44,1kHz.
APPENDICE Cartes et mémoires en option Précautions en cas d’installation de cartes en option Vous pourrez étendre les fonctions de votre EX5/5R/7 en lui ajoutant les cartes ou mémoires en option. Les cinq types de cartes/mémoires suivantes sont compatibles avec le EX5/5R/7. Suivre les précautions qui suivent et installer les cartes correctement.
Comment installer une carte/mémoire en option (EX5/7) PRÉCAUTIONS à suivre quand vous achetez des modules de mémoire DRAM SIMM Certaines cartes de mémoire DRAM SIMM en vente dans le commerce ne fonctionnent pas avec le EX5/5R/7. Yamaha décline toute responsabilité en cas de mauvais fonctionnement de ces cartes.
3Mettez-vous face au panneau arrière du EX5/7 pour retirer les vis du cache de carte qui se trouve du côté gauche. Aidez-vous d’un tournevis (huit vis). Ne retirez pas la grosse vis indiquée sur le schéma. Comment installer une carte EXIDO1 sur le EX5/7 Eléments nécessaires Ne pas retirer cette vis.
3Maintenez la carte EXIDO1 avec une main et fixezla au panneau arrière du EX5/7 avec les deux vis déposées à l’étape 1. 7Vérifiez l’emplacement du connecteur DGO/IDO sur le EX5/7 pour relier la plaque EXIDO1 et le EX5/7 avec le câble plat. Le connecteur DGO/IDO est caché sous le câble FDD. “DGO/IDO” est imprimé sur la surface. 3Débrancher le cordon d’alimentation à deux broches de la carte ASIB1 et le déposer. Pour retirer le cordon il faut le couper et le tirer hors du collier comme indiqué sur le schéma.
6Connectez le câble électrique de la plaque ASIB1 (mis de côté à l’étape 4) au connecteur CN2 de la plaque ASIB1 (près du commutateur TERM). Faites attention au sens de branchement du connecteur. 9Regroupez les câbles avec la connexion qui se trouve près de la carte ASIB1. ON TERM OFF ON TERM OFF Connexion groupée ON TERM OFF 7Vérifiez l’emplacement du connecteur SCSI sur le EX5R (indiqué sur le schéma) pour relier la carte ASIB1 et le EX5R avec le câble SCSI.
2Sur les cartes EXFLM1 et DRAM SIMM un encoche est prévue près de la broche 1. Insérez la carte dans la porte d’accès de manière à ce que la broche 1 soit alignée sur le repère 1PIN (▲) de la carte du EX5/7.
