A 12-V accessory connected to the auxiliary jack can be used when the key is in the “ON” position and should only be used when the engine is running. To prevent electrical shock or shortcircuiting, make sure that the cap is installed when the auxiliary DC jack is not being used.

Follow the same procedure when shifting to the next higher gear.
