Fuel level warning light “”
This warning light comes on when the
fuel level drops below approximately
4.1 L (1.08 US gal) (0.90 Imp.gal).
When this occurs, refuel as soon as
possible.
The electrical circuit of the warning light
can be checked by turning the key to
ON.
If the warning light does not come on
for a few seconds, then go off, have a
Yamaha dealer check the electrical cir-
cuit.

Coolant temperature warning light
“”
This warning light comes on when the
engine overheats. When this occurs,
stop the engine immediately and allow
the engine to cool.
The electrical circuit of the warning light
can be checked by turning the key to
ON.
If the warning light does not come on
for a few seconds, then go off, have a
Yamaha dealer check the electrical cir-
cuit.
CAUTION:

Do not operate the engine if it is
overheated.

Speedometer unit
The speedometer unit is equipped with
the following:
an odometer
two tripmeters
When set to ODO, the vehicles total
mileage is indicated.
When set to TRIP 1 or TRIP 2, the
vehicles mileage since the tripmeter
was last reset is indicated. The tripme-
ters can be used together with the fuel
gauge to estimate the distance that can
