Styles – Playing Rhythm and Accompaniment –
4
A Style generally consists of eight parts (channels): rhythm, bass, etc. You can add variations and change the
feeling of a Style by selectively turning channels on/off or by changing the Voices (page 97).
Style File Compatibility
This instrument uses the SFF GE file format (page 8) and can play back existing SFF files; however, they will be saved in the SFF GE
format when the file is saved (or loaded) in this instrument. Please keep in mind that the saved file can only be played back on
instruments that are compatible with the SFF GE format.
To do this, use the on-screen buttons called up by touching [L] in the Style area of the Home display, or
use the STYLE CONTROL buttons.
NOTE
For instructions on adjusting the tempo, refer to page 39.
[ACMP ON/OFF], [AUTO FILL IN] and [SYNC STOP] can be controlled only by using the panel buttons.
Style Characteristics
The Style type and its defining characteristics are indicated on the Preset
Style icon (such as Pro and Session).
For details about these icons, refer to the “StyleSetting” section in the
Reference Manual on the website (page 9).
