Select the speaker layout for the number of speakers that you are using and place the speakers and subwoofer in your room. This section describes the representative speaker layout
examples.
* HTR-5066 only
• HTR-5066 supports 2- to 7.1-channel system, and HTR-4066 supports 2- to 5.1-channel speaker system.
• (HTR-5066 only)
Two subwoofers connected to the unit output the same sounds.
1 Placing speakers
Caution
• (U.S.A. model only)
Under its default settings, the unit is configured for 8-ohm speakers. When connecting 6-ohm speakers, set the unit’s speaker impedance to “6  MIN”. In this case, you can also use 4-ohm speakers as the front speakers.
For details, see “Setting the speaker impedance” (p.14).

Use speakers with an impedance of at least 6 .

Subwoofer 9
Produces LFE (low-frequency effect) channel sounds and reinforces the bass parts of other channels.
This channel is counted as “0.1”.
You can connect 2 subwoofers (with built-in amplifier) to the unit.*
