Specifying the IP address
Using the following procedure, specify the IP address of the network
interface card of the computer to which the devices are connected.
1. Open “Network Connections.”
In the search box located at the right of the start button, or in Cortana,
enter ncpa.cpl, and open “Network Connections.”
2. Right-click the interface card that you want to connect
to the system, and choose [Properties].
3. Click [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)], and
then click the [Properties] button.
4. Select the [Use the following IP address] radio button.
5. Specify the IP address and subnet mask.
If the device’s IP address is 192.168.0.x, specify an IP address such
as 192.168.0.250 for the same subnet, setting the subnet to
255.255.255.0.
If you want to use a different address, contact the network administra-
tor for the IP address and subnet mask values that can be used.
6. Click the [OK] button.
Close the [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties] dialog
box.
7. Click the [OK] button.
The interface’s “Properties” dialog box closes.
This completes the settings.
