CONNECTIONS CONNECTIONS CAUTION Do not connect this unit or other components to the main power until all connections between components are complete. Connecting a network CD player As shown in the figure, connect the ANALOG OUT jacks of the network CD player (CDNT670) to the ANALOG IN jacks of the unit by using the RCA stereo cable supplied with the network CD player, and connect the SYSTEM jacks of the both equipment to each other by using the supplied system connection cable.
CONNECTIONS n Connecting speaker cables 1 Remove approximately 10 mm (3/8”) of insulation from the end of each speaker cable. Connecting a subwoofer To use a subwoofer, connect the jack of the subwoofer to the SUBWOOFER jack of the unit as shown in the figure. 2 Twist the bare wires of the cable firmly together. 3 Unscrew the knob. 4 Insert one bare wire into the hole in the side of each terminal. 5 Tighten the knob to secure the wire.
PLAYBACK PLAYBACK English Playing a source Auto power standby function • The auto power standby function will be activated as follows (default setting). - VOLUME The unit turn off automatically if no operation has been performed for more than 8 hours. Activating/deactivating the auto power standby function While pressing and holding A (power) on the unit, plug in the power cable to the AC outlet. 2 Keep pressing A (power).

Rear panel n Installing the dedicated driver Before connecting a PC to this unit, install the dedicated driver on the PC. The dedicated driver is available only for Windows. For Mac, the standard driver of Mac OS is available for setting.

Check if the SYSTEM jacks of the unit and the network CD player are connected to each other. Operating the power with the remote control Pressing the A (power) button of the remote control causes the unit to turn on or enter the standby mode by interlocking with the network CD player.
TROUBLESHOOTING TROUBLESHOOTING Problem This unit fails to turn on. This unit turns off suddenly and the power indicator turns off. No sound. The unit cannot be turned off. Cause Solution English Refer to the chart below if this unit does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instructions below do not help, turn off this unit, disconnect the power cable, and then contact the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center.

RACCORDEMENTS RACCORDEMENTS Veillez à raccorder L (gauche) à L, R (droite) à R, « + » à « + » et « – » à « – ». Si le raccordement est défectueux, l’enceinte risque de ne reproduire aucun son et, si la polarité du raccordement est incorrecte, les sons risquent de manquer de naturel et de composantes graves. Reportez-vous au mode d’emploi de chaque composant.
RACCORDEMENTS n Raccordement des câbles d’enceinte 1 Retirez environ 10 mm d’isolant à l’extrémité de chaque câble d’enceinte. Raccordement d’un caisson de graves Pour utiliser un caisson de graves, raccordez sa prise à la prise SUBWOOFER de l’appareil, comme illustré ci-dessous. 2 Torsadez fermement les fils dénudés du câble. 3 Dévissez le bouton. 4 Insérez un fil dénudé dans l’orifice situé sur le côté de chaque borne. 5 Serrez le bouton pour fixer le fil.
LECTURE LECTURE Lecture d’une source Fonction de veille automatique • La fonction de veille automatique s’active comme suit (réglage par défaut). - L’appareil s’éteint automatiquement si aucune opération n’est exécutée pendant plus de 8 heures. Activation/désactivation de la fonction de veille automatique 1 Tout en appuyant sur la touche A (alimentation) de l’appareil et en la maintenant enfoncée, branchez le câble d’alimentation sur la prise AC. 2 Maintenez la touche A (alimentation) enfoncée.
