CONFIGURING THE CLIENT
4 Enter
the
server
ID
for
the
server
you
want
to
connect
to.
Press A / v to choose characters and </>to
move the cursor to the left or right.
5 When you have finished, press SELECT
to
confirm
the
server
ID.
6 Press A I v
to
choose "Save &
Network
Restart" and press SELECT.
The server restarts its network hardware. This
may take up to five minutes.

To
cancel without making any changes, choose
"Cancel" and press SELECT.
Setting
the
DHCP mode
If
you want the client to automatically receive a new
IP address from the network DHCP server each time
it is turned on, make sure the DHCP mode setting is
set to "ON" (the default setting). This is useful
if
you do not want to pre-set an IP address for each
client connected to your MusicCAST system.
1 Select
"Setup"
>
"Network"
> "Manual
Setup"
from
the
Top Menu.
2 Press A I v
to
choose "DHCP" and
press SELECT.
3 Press A I v
to
choose
"ON"
or
"OFF"
and press SELECT.
ON
Select to use DHCP configurations.
This is the default setting. When
"ON" is selected, the server provides
DHCP services to the client.
If
you
want to use another DHCP server, you
may need to reset the IP address being
supplied to the client (see the owner's
manual provided with the DHCP
server). Be sure to tum off the power
to the client before modifying settings
on the DHCP server.
OFF Select
if
you do not want to use
DHCP to configure client network
settings. In this case, the client will
use the IP address you specify in
"Setting the IP address".
You
should
also specify a subnet mask as
described in "Setting the subnet
mask".
Setting
the
IP address
You
can manually enter the IP address you want to
use for the client. This setting is only possible when
the DHCP mode is set to "NO".
