In the File mode, you can save/load data such as Voice, Performance, Song, Pattern and Waveform created on this instrument.
To enter the File mode, press the [FILE] button.
This section explains how to save/load all the data on the user memory of this instrument as an “All” file (extension: X3A).
Saving the settings to a USB
storage device
1 Connect a USB storage device to the USB TO
DEVICE terminal of this instrument.
2 Press the [FILE] button to enter the File mode, then
press the [F1] File button.
At the “Device” line, you can confirm that the connected
USB storage device is mounted.
3 Move the path to the desired directory.
The Dir line indicates the current directory name with the
path and the lower box lists the directories and files
belonging to the current directory.
3-1 To go down from the current directory, move the cursor to
the desired directory in the Directory/File list then press
the [ENTER] button.
3-2 To go up from the current directory, move the cursor to the
top line in the Directory/File list then press the [ENTER]
button.
NOTE
If you wish to create a new directory and save the file there,
press the [SF5] New Dir button.
4 Move the cursor to “Type” then select “all.
5 Press the [SF1] Save button to call up the window
for entering the file name.
6 Enter the file name, then press the [ENTER]
button.
The confirmation message appears.
The file name can contain up to 20 characters.
7 Press the [INC/YES] button to execute the Save
operation.
Loading the settings from a USB
storage device
1 Connect a USB storage device to the USB TO
DEVICE terminal of this instrument.
2 Press the [FILE] button to enter the File mode, then
press the [F1] File button.
At the “Device” line, you can confirm that the connected
USB storage device is mounted.
3 Move the path to the desired directory.
The Dir line indicates the current directory name with the
path and the lower box lists the directories and files
belonging to the current directory.
3-1 To go down from the current directory, move the cursor to
the desired directory in the Directory/File list then press
the [ENTER] button.
3-2 To go up from the current directory, move the cursor to the
top line in the Directory/File list then press the [ENTER]
button.
4 Move the cursor to “Type” then select “all.
5 Select the file to be loaded.
6 Press the [SF2] Load button (a prompt for
confirmation appears).
Press the [DEC/NO] button to cancel the Load operation.
7 Press the [INC/YES] button to execute the Load
operation.
NOTICE
The Load operation overwrites any data previously existing in the
destination internal memory. Important data should always be saved
to a USB storage device connected to the USB TO DEVICE terminal.
