After playing, hold the instrument in one hand with the holes
facing down and shake the instrument up and down two or
three times.
Prolong the life of your instrument by removing moisture after playing.
Do not expose the instrument to strong impacts such as hitting the
instrument strongly with your hand. Shock to the reeds can result in
poor pitch or loosing the ability to produce sound.
To remove dirt on the cover or in the holes, wipe with a
damp, well-wrung cloth, then wipe with a dry cloth.
If the instrument requires further cleaning, wipe with a piece of
gauze wetted with an alcohol-free mouthpiece cleaner for brass
instruments.
Never directly wash the instrument with water or other liquids.
Do not wipe the instrument with thinner, benzene, or alcohol.
Do not expose the instrument to high humidity and
temperature.

Never swing the case around with
the instrument in it. The instrument
can fall out and hit others.
Do not bite or apply excessive
pressure to the instrument.
The instrument’s cover plate can
bend, creating a gap in which your
tongue or lip may become pinched.
Do not blow into the instrument while
looking up.
In the event a part was to come off
from the instrument, it would fall into
your mouth.
Keep the instrument clean
Rinse your mouth with water before playing.
Remove moisture from the instrument by shaking it lightly.
Always keep the instrument as clean as possible.
