SURROUND
Enjoying realistic surround sounds (CINEMA
DSP)
Playback surround sounds using Yamaha's exclusive CINEMA
DSP. 1)
Press the SURROUND key to switch to
the surround mode.
2Press the CINEMA DSP (MOVIE, MUSIC,
or ENTERTAINMENT) key repeatedly to
select the desired program.83_
The CINEMA DSP category name appears ill the front
panel display and the CINEMA DSP indicator (_,: p. 8)
lights up.
CINEMA DSP
This unit is equipped with a Ymnaha CINEMA DSP (digital sound field
processing) chip containing several sound field programs used to
enhance your playback experience. Most of the CINEMA DSP programs
are precise digital recreations of actual acoustic envirolm/ents of fi_mnus
concert balls, music relines, and movie theaters.
The CINEMA DSP programs are not available in the following
conditions.
• Audio signals witll sampling fi'equellcy of higher than 48 kHz are
being played back.
• When using My Surroundfimction6_ p. 37).
• When playing back in stereo playback mode.
• When target playback mode is enabled 6_p. 39).

This unit automaticall_ memnrizes tlle settings assigned tn each inptlt
source. When you select annther input, the unit automatically recalls tlle
last settings for the selected input.
