Connecting an analog input/output unit to the engines (Mirror
mode)
The following diagram shows a common way of making connections between the engine and analog input/output units
for Mirror mode.

Analog input unit AI8 connection
Connect the OUTPUT A connector of the AI8 analog
input unit to one of the INPUT 1–INPUT 10 con-
nectors of engine A, and connect the OUTPUT B
connector of the AI8 to one of the INPUT 1–INPUT
10 connectors of engine B.
When using Mirror mode, OUTPUT connectors A
and B of the AI8 must be connected to the identi-
cally-numbered INPUT connector of engines A and
B. Be aware that if these are connected to differently-
numbered INPUT connectors, the content of the
input signals will change when you switch between
engines A and B.
When using Mirror mode, leave the CONTROL
PORT switch of the AI8 in the A position as the
default setting.

Analog output unit AO8 connection
Connect the INPUT A connector of the AO8 analog
output unit to one of the OUTPUT 1–OUTPUT 6
connectors of engine A. Connect the INPUT B con-
nector of the AO8 to one of the OUTPUT 1–OUT-
PUT 6 connectors of engine B.
When using Mirror mode, INPUT connectors A and
B of the AO8 must be connected to the identically-
numbered OUTPUT connector of engines A and B.
Be aware that if these are connected to differently-
numbered OUTPUT connectors, the content of the
output signals will change when you switch between
engines A and B.
When using Mirror mode, leave the INPUT SELEC-
TOR switch of the AO8 in the A position as the
default setting.
Be careful not to reverse the input and output. If you
do so, the unit will not be recognized, and cannot be
controlled.
