Connecting and Using a Microphone
By connecting a microphone to the [MIC INPUT] jack, you can sing along with your key-
board performance while applying reverb and chorus effects to your vocals. Sound that is
input from the microphone is played from the built-in speakers. You can also switch to the
Talk setting when you want to talk between songs.

Before turning the instrument on, turn
down the [MASTER VOLUME] control to
“MIN.”

Set the [GAIN] knob on the rear panel to
the center position.

Connect a microphone to the [MIC
INPUT] jack (standard mono phone jack)
on the rear panel.
If the microphone has a switch, switch it on
before Step 4.

Turn the instrument on.

Adjust the overall volume by using the
[MASTER VOLUME] control.

While holding down the [SHIFT] button,
press the [MIC VOCAL/TALK/MUTE] but-
ton to call up the Mic Volume setting dis-
play.

While singing into the microphone, turn
the dial to adjust the volume of the
microphone.
If you cannot get a suitable microphone volume
from turning this dial, adjust the [GAIN] knob on
the rear panel.

Press the [FUNCTION] button to exit the
Function Settings.

Sing into the microphone while playing
the keyboard and playing back a Song.
CAUTION
Before connecting the instrument to external devices, turn off the power of all the devices. Also, before turning the power
on or off, make sure to set all volume levels to minimum. Otherwise, damage to the devices or electrical shock may occur.
Connecting a Microphone
Make sure to use a dynamic microphone.
