Deleting User Files from USB
Flash Drive
User Files (.usr) in the root directory of USB flash
drive can be deleted.

While holding down the [SHIFT] button,
press the [FUNCTION] button to call up
the File Control display.

Rotate the dial until “Del USER” is
shown on the display.

Press the [ENTER] button.
User files on the USB flash drive are shown as
“USER***” (***: number) on the display. Select a
file to delete by rotating the dial.

Press the [ENTER] button again.
“Del OK?” is shown on the display. Press the
[EXIT] button to cancel deleting.

Press the [ENTER] button once again to
execute the Delete operation.
“Complete” is shown on the display when deleting
is done.
6
Press the [FUNCTION] button to exit
from the File Control display.
Deleting SMF Files from USB Flash
Drive
MIDI files recorded on this instrument and saved to
USB flash drive via the SaveSMF operation (page
24) can be deleted individually.

on the display.

SMF files on the USB flash drive are shown as
“SONG***” (***: number) on the display. Select a
file to delete by rotating the dial.

Press the [ENTER] button again.
“Del OK?” is shown on the display. Press the
[EXIT] button to cancel deleting.

Press the [ENTER] button once again to
execute the Delete operation.
“Complete” is shown on the display when deleting
is done.

Press the [FUNCTION] button to exit
from the File Control display.
• Only User files (.usr) saved in the “USER FILES” folder on
the USB flash drive can be deleted. Files outside this folder
cannot be recognized.
• The Delete operation cannot be cancelled during exe-
cution. Never turn off the power or disconnect the
USB flash drive during the operation. Doing so may
result in data loss.

NOTICE
• Only SMF files (.mid) saved in the “USER FILES” folder on
the USB flash drive can be deleted. Files outside this folder
cannot be recognized. This operation applies only to files
named with the format of “SONG***” (***: 001–100).
• The Delete operation cannot be cancelled during exe-
cution. Never turn off the power or disconnect the
USB flash drive during the operation. Doing so may
result in data loss.
