2 Use CATEGORY [ ]/[ ]or [+]/[−] to select the
desired Song/Style/Voice.
You can check the Song/Style/Voice categories on the front
panel.
3 Play the keyboard, or press [START/STOP] to start
the Song/Style.
To stop the Song or Style, press [START/STOP] again.
* In Style playback, an Intro plays back first, and then only the
rhythm part plays back, because of the Auto Intro/Ending function
(page 9). Some Styles do not include a rhythm part.
* For further information on Song/Style/Voice, see page 8.
Backup Parameters
The following settings will be maintained even if the power is turned off.
• Master Volume • Chord Fingering Type
• Volume Limit • Auto Power Off
• Tuning • Battery Type
Initialization
To initialize the backup parameters, press the [ ] (Standby/On) switch
while holding down the highest white key to turn the power on. CLr
appears on the display.

Backup and Initialization
[TEMPO/TAP]
Allows you to change the tempo of the Song, Style, and
Metronome with [+]/[−].
Tap Function
With Song/Style stopped, tap [TEMPO/TAP] several times
to start playback at the tapped tempo (four times for a 4-
beat Song/Style. etc.) or tap it twice during playback to
change the tempo. Tempo can be set from 32 to 280.

METRONOME
To start/stop the Metro-
nome, simultaneously
hold down [SHIFT] and
press this button.
[ ] (Standby/On) switch
Pressing this turns on and the display lights. To set the
power to standby, hold down for about one second.
[SHIFT]
To call up the alternate function of certain
buttons, simultaneously hold down
[SHIFT] and press the corresponding button.
