Setting Up Depending on how you are powering your instrument, follow one of the two power supply instructions below.
2 Using Batteries This instrument requires four “AA” size, Alkaline (LR6)/Manganese (R6) batteries, or rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries (rechargeable Ni-MH batteries). The Alkaline batteries or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries are recommended for this instrument, since other types may result in poorer battery performance. Tip — [TEMPO/TAP] button You can start a Style or Song at a desired speed by simply tapping the [TEMPO/TAP] button four times for time signatures in 4 (such as 4/4) or three times for time signatures in 3 (such as 3/4). Also, you can change the tempo by tapping the [TEMPO/TAP] button just twice at the desired tempo while a Song, Style or Metronome is playing back. Simply play the root notes of chords indicated in this score with your left hand as you play the melody with your right, and listen to how the sounds of the chords match the keys you play.
