Accensione e spegnimento Utilizzo con le batterie Per alimentare lo strumento possono essere utilizzate batterie alcaline di tipo AA, zincocarbone o nichel-metallo idruro ricaricabili. Tuttavia, poiché determinate modalità di utilizzo possono provocare un consumo molto elevato di corrente, consigliamo di utilizzare batterie alcaline o ricaricabili. q Assicurarsi che lo strumento sia spento. w Posizionare lo strumento capovolto su un panno morbido o tessuto simile e rimuovere il coperchio del vano batterie.
Accensione e spegnimento Accensione Spegnimento automatico q Spostare lo slider [VOLUME] o [VOL] completamente in basso per ridurre al minimo il volume di uscita. Slider [CUTOFF] Per impostare la frequenza di taglio del filtro passa-basso (LPF; 24 dB per ottava). Il suono può essere reso più nitido spostando lo slider verso l'alto o più cupo spostandolo verso il basso. o-2. Slider [RESONANCE] Per impostare la risonanza, che modifica il carattere del suono.
Utilizzo del Phrase Looper Il Phrase Looper può essere utilizzato per registrare e riprodurre frasi in loop. Con questa funzione, è possibile sovraincidere per registrare più frasi sovrapposte oppure scegliere la riproduzione in loop per ripetere all'infinito le frasi registrate. Oltre a modificare il tempo dopo una registrazione, il Phrase Looper sul reface CS consente di controllare il suono utilizzando gli slider di altre sezioni come OSC, FILTER ed EG.
Utilizzo del Phrase Looper sovraincisione. La registrazione di sovraincisioni inizia non appena lo slider LOOPER viene spostato su "REC". Durante la sovraincisione, il suono guida non viene prodotto. q Impostare ancora una volta lo slider LOOPER su "REC". w Sulla tastiera, suonare la frase che si desidera sovraincidere insieme alle frasi correntemente suonate. e Per terminare la registrazione, impostare lo slider LOOPER su "PLAY".

Il valore corrispondente allo slider cambia in base alla velocità dello sfioramento. Per lo sfioramento consigliamo di utilizzare il dito indice. Un "battito" è un movimento di tocco e rilascio singolo e veloce dello slider.

Impostazioni Valori Modalità di utilizzo Sfiorare verso l'alto per aumentare il valore o verso il basso per ridurlo. Sfiorare rapidamente per modificare di molto il valore o lentamente per effettuare una modifica di lieve entità. Battere " "o" per modificare il valore per unità di uno. Selezione del tipo Battere " " per passare tra on e off o per cambiare tipo ecc. t-2.
y-1. Pulsante [FREQ] (frequenza) y-4. Pulsante [FB] (Feedback) Per visualizzare la schermata Operator Frequency Settings. Se si sfiora a una determinata velocità o a una velocità maggiore, l'impostazione cambia fino a raggiungere il valore intero più vicino. Ad esempio, se l'impostazione corrente è 9,29 e si sfiora rapidamente verso l'alto, il valore diventa 10,00. Per visualizzare la schermata Feedback Settings.

In questa condizione, il pulsante può essere premuto ripetutamente per scorrere le singole pagine del modo. Quando si preme un pulsante diverso, la spia si spegne e lo strumento esce dal modo Function. Nel modo Function, è possibile impostare i parametri Voice Parameter, MIDI, System e Job.

STORE DX Per visualizzare la schermata Store Settings. In questa schermata, è possibile specificare dove memorizzare le impostazioni e memorizzarle con un nome. Quando si memorizza una voce, questa sovrascrive la voce preset memorizzata nella posizione selezionata.
Utilizzo del Phrase Looper Il Phrase Looper può essere utilizzato per registrare e riprodurre frasi in loop. Con questa funzione, è possibile sovraincidere per registrare più frasi sovrapposte oppure scegliere la riproduzione in loop per ripetere all'infinito le frasi registrate. Il Phrase Looper sul reface DX consente di modificare il tempo delle frasi registrate in loop e controllare il suono utilizzando le sezioni FM e VOICE SELECT/EDIT. Per utilizzare il Phrase Looper, premere il pulsante [LOOPER].
Utilizzo del Phrase Looper Indicatore di avanzamento Cambiamento del suono delle frasi in loop È possibile utilizzare le sezioni FM e VOICE SELECT/EDIT per controllare il suono delle frasi registrate in loop mentre vengono riprodotte. Indipendentemente dalla schermata visualizzata, il pulsante [LOOPER] continua a lampeggiare durante la riproduzione in loop. Interruzione delle frasi in loop Interruzione Battere lo switch "STOP". Funzioni dei componenti del pannello frontale u i i -4 i -2 i -1 i -3 o -2 q o -1 CP u -4 u -2 u -1 u -3 o C4 Imposta un suono di una tastiera elettrica a corde percosse comparsa sulla scena negli anni 70. Il suo suono elettrico tipico della chitarra è molto Clv caratteristico. Questo suono si adatta molto bene a un effetto wah ed era utilizzato principalmente negli anni 70 per la musica funk e rock. Imposta un suono di pianoforte giocattolo vintage tipico degli anni 70.
Funzioni dei componenti del pannello frontale y-1. Switch [TREMOLO/WAH] y-3. Manopola [RATE] Per scegliere se aggiungere l'effetto tremolo (posizione in alto), l'effetto wah (posizione in basso) o se far passare il suono senza subire alterazioni (posizione centrale). La spia (y-4) si accende quando è selezionato tremolo o wah e si spegne quando il suono passa senza subire alternazioni. Se ruotata in senso orario, aumenta l'effetto sul suono. Con tremolo Regola la velocità di modulazione.

Manopola [SPEED] Per regolare la velocità di ondulazione del suono. Ruotare la manopola in senso orario per aumentare la velocità. i D. DELAY/A. DELAY (Delay digitale/ Delay analogico) Questa sezione consente di aggiungere al suono il delay digitale o analogico.
Esempi di impostazioni di suoni Le seguenti impostazioni sono consigliate per il reface CP. Rd I Impostazioni ideali per musica pop, soul e fusion degli anni 70. È possibile aumentare il valore dell'impostazione di DRIVE per incrementare la distorsione, impostare DEPTH del phaser su un valore relativamente elevato compreso tra 6 e 7 o attivare l'effetto tremolo e impostare DEPTH e RATE su un valore prossimo al 5.
Esempi di impostazioni di SUONI Clv CP Impostazioni ideali per performance funk e rock anni 70. È possibile aumentare DRIVE per ottenere un suono distorto simile a quello della chitarra. Si potrebbero ottenere buoni risultati anche passando da wah a tremolo e applicando un leggero riverbero. Toy Le impostazioni semplici sono probabilmente la scelta migliore per il pianoforte giocattolo.

Funzioni dei componenti del pannello frontale u i y -7 y -8 y -9 u -1 u -2 i -1 i -2 i -3 o F A Y Imposta un suono di organo elettrico caratteristico degli anni 60, caratterizzato da forme d'onda sinusoidali semplici ma calde. Questo suono era utilizzato in molti generi musicali, quali rock, pop e jazz. Imposta il suono di un organo a transistor degli anni 60. Con il contenuto armonico molto simile a quello di un'onda quadra, è noto per i toni molto presenti.
Funzioni dei componenti del pannello frontale I toni prodotti spostando gli slider sono i seguenti. y -1 y -2 y -3 y -4 y -5 y -6 y -7 y -8 y -9 i Sezione PERCUSSION Se attivata, è possibile applicare un accento alla porzione di attacco del suono. Quando tutti i volumi FOOTAGE sono a zero (ossia gli slider vengono spostati completamente in alto), vengono prodotti solo i suoni di percussioni. Le impostazioni "A" e "B" cambiano l'intonazione della percussione.
Esempi di impostazioni di suoni Le seguenti impostazioni sono consigliate per l'reface YC. H Type 1 Queste impostazioni possono essere utilizzate per la musica rock, jazz e per una vasta gamma di altri generi musicali. È possibile spostare lo slider [4’] verso l'alto per un suono più vivace oppure spostare ciascuno degli slider [2 2/3’], [2’], [1 3/5’], [1 1/3’] e [1’] verso il basso per produrre un suono più nitido caratteristico della musica rock.
Collegamento ad altri dispositivi Collegando reface ad un altro dispositivo MIDI (come una tastiera o un modulo generatore di suoni) è possibile estenderne le funzioni ed eseguire le seguenti operazioni. • Suonare reface da una tastiera MIDI • Suonare un modulo generatore di suoni utilizzando reface • Sincronizzare i Phrase Looper di reface CS e reface DX Inoltre, se si collega reface a un computer, è possibile utilizzare anche le seguenti funzioni aggiuntive di riproduzione e registrazione.
Collegamento ad altri dispositivi Collegamento di reface CS e DX e sincronizzazione dei Phrase Looper Ad esempio, se reface CS e reface DX sono collegati tramite cavo MIDI, le operazioni eseguite con il Phrase Looper sul reface CS fanno sì che il Phrase Looper sul reface DX suoni simultaneamente. q Impostare su "off" il canale di trasmissione sul modello reface che si utilizzerà (in questo esempio il reface CS). Per informazioni dettagliate, fare riferimento a "Impostazioni della tastiera" (pagina 41).
Collegamento ad altri dispositivi Suonare il modello reface utilizzando i dati registrati da un'applicazione DAW q Attivare il controllo MIDI. Per ulteriori informazioni, vedere "Impostazioni della tastiera" (pagina 41). w Collegare il computer al modello reface tramite un cavo USB. NOTA • Prima di utilizzare il terminale [USB], accertarsi di avere letto la sezione "Precauzioni per l'utilizzo del terminale [USB]" (pagina 39).
Collegamento ad altri dispositivi Precauzioni per l'utilizzo del terminale [USB] Quando si collega lo strumento a un computer tramite il terminale [USB], attenersi alle precauzioni riportate di seguito. La mancata osservanza di queste precauzioni potrebbe comportare il blocco del computer o dello strumento e il danneggiamento o la perdita di dati. Se il computer o lo strumento si blocca, provare a riavviare l'applicazione in uso, riavviare il computer e spegnere e riaccendere lo strumento.
Ripristino alle impostazioni di fabbrica predefinite (Factory Reset) Quando si effettua un Factory Reset (Ripristino alle impostazioni di fabbrica), tutti i parametri verranno riportati alle impostazioni di fabbrica predefinite. AVVISO • Solo reface DX Quando viene eseguito un Factory Reset (Ripristino alle impostazioni di fabbrica), tutte le impostazioni memorizzate sullo strumento mediante il pulsante [FUNCTION] vengono sovrascritte con le impostazioni di fabbrica predefinite.
Appendice Impostazioni della tastiera Per effettuare le impostazioni della tastiera descritte di seguito, tenere premuto il tasto corrispondente sulla tastiera e premere lo switch [ ] (Standby/On). Se lo strumento è acceso, per effettuare le impostazioni in questo modo è necessario spegnerlo una volta. Ogni impostazione viene attivata/disattivata ogni volta che viene eseguita questa procedura.
Appendice Ripristino alle impostazioni di fabbrica Per ripristinare i valori di fabbrica predefiniti di tutte le impostazioni, comprese quelle della tastiera. Su reface CS e DX, anche le frasi in loop vengono ripristinate alla condizione di fabbrica predefinita. Per ulteriori informazioni, vedere "Ripristino alle impostazioni di fabbrica predefinite (Factory Reset)" (pagina 40). Display se eseguito CS DX La spia OSC [TYPE] lampeggia. Appendice Local Control Per impostare se scollegare ("off") o collegare ("ON") internamente la tastiera e il generatore di tono interno dello strumento. Se si desidera controllare il generatore di tono interno del modello reface utilizzando un controller MIDI esterno, ma non la sua tastiera, impostare il controllo MIDI su "ON" e Local Control su "off". Impostazione di fabbrica predefinita: Attivato Display se impostato CS ON: le spie della sezione LOOPER si accendono.
Appendice Inversione del Pitch Bend Range (solo CS) Cambiando la direzione di modifica delle intonazioni delle note da parte della leva [PITCH BEND], è possibile produrre effetti di pitch bend della nota tipici della chitarra quando si suona il reface CS come una keytar. Appendice Risoluzione dei problemi Se lo strumento non si comporta come previsto, ad esempio non produce suono o non produce il suono corretto, provare a risolvere il problema come descritto di seguito. Molti problemi possono essere risolti anche con un Factory Reset (Ripristino alle impostazioni di fabbrica) (pagina 40). Se un problema dovesse persistere nonostante le soluzioni proposte, contattare un rivenditore o un centro di assistenza Yamaha (vedere il retro del presente documento).
Appendice Problema Determinati suoni non vengono prodotti. Modelli Determinati suoni hanno smesso di essere prodotti dopo l'utilizzo di un controller. CS DX È possibile suonare solo una nota alla volta. CS DX Le note basse Il suono non vengono emesso prodotte. è distorto o intermittente. Lo strumento ha smesso di produrre suoni di organo (solo la percussione è udibile). YC YC CS I suoni continuano all'infinito.
