Configuring the network settings
Checking the network information on the unit
Displays the network information on the unit.
Setup menu
“Network” > “Information”
IP Address IP address
Subnet Mask Subnet mask
Default Gateway The IP address of the default gateway
DNS Server (P) The IP address of the primary DNS server
DNS Server (S) The IP address of the secondary DNS server
MAC Address (Ethernet)
MAC address
MAC Address (Wi-Fi)
Network Name Network name (the unit’s name on the network)
MusicCast Network The status of the MusicCast network connection.
Wired/Wireless The status of the wired or wireless connection
SSID
(When using wireless [Wi-Fi] network connection)
The SSID of the wireless network
Note
Use the left/right cursor keys to display other informations in the “Setup” menu.
Setting the network connection method (Wired/
Wireless)
Selects the network connection method.

“Network” > “Network Connection”
Choices
Wired
Select this option when you want to connect the unit to a network with
a commercially-available network cable.
Wireless(Wi-Fi)
Select this option when you want to connect the unit to a network via
the wireless router (access point).

Setting the network parameters automatically
(DHCP)
Set the network parameters (such as IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway)
automatically using a DHCP server.

“Network” > “IP Address” > “DHCP”
Settings
Off Does not use a DHCP server. Configure the network parameters manually.
On
Uses a DHCP server to automatically obtain the unit’s network parameters
(such as IP address).
