By connecting this instrument to a computer, you can take advantage of the following functions and applications.
• External tone generator for DAW software and MIDI keyboard
• Remote Controller of the DAW software
• More detailed Voice Editing from the computer (S90 XS/S70 XS Editor)
Connecting to a computer
The USB cable and USB-MIDI Driver are necessary to
connect the S90 XS/S70 XS to the computer. Follow the
instructions below. Note that the MIDI data can be
transmitted through a USB cable.
NOTE Since the S90 XS/S70 XS has no built-in speakers, you'll need an
external audio system or a set of stereo headphones to properly
monitor it. For details, refer to “Setting Up” on page 16.
1 Download the USB-MIDI Driver from our
website.
After clicking the Download button, extract the compressed
file.

NOTE
Information on system requirements is also available at the

NOTE The USB-MIDI Driver may be revised and updated without
prior notice. Make sure to check and download the latest
version from the above site.
2 Install the USB-MIDI Driver to the computer.
For instructions on installing, refer to the online Installation
Guide included in the downloaded file package.
When connecting this instrument to a computer in the
Installation procedure, connect the USB cable to the USB
TO HOST of this instrument and the USB terminal of the
computer as shown below.
3 Make sure that the USB TO HOST terminal of
this instrument is enabled.
Press the [UTILITY] button to call up the Utility mode, select
“MIDI” via the Cursor button then press the [ENTER] button
to call up the MIDI display. Set the MIDI In/Out parameter to
“USB.”
4 Press the [STORE] button to store this
setting.
