Version 1.30 New Functions
For USB Wireless LAN adapter Users
Yamaha has updated the firmware of CVP-409GP/409/407/405/403/401, CGP-1000
and PSR-S900/S700 from Version 1.00 to Version 1.30. This version provides
additional functions and has some changed Wireless LAN displays.
The instrument now includes settings for the robust WPA and WPA2 security formats,
and as a result the settings for Wireless LAN have been added and changed.
Please replace the chapter of “Wireless LAN” in your owner’s manual below with the
following instructions, then configure the settings.
NOTE For details on how to check the version for the instrument you are using, refer to the chapter “Displaying the
version number” in your owner’s manual.

NOTE Some USB Wireless LAN adaptors do not support WPA and WPA2. For a list of USB Wireless LAN adaptors
whose compatibility have been confirmed by Yamaha, visit the Yamaha website:

The settings here are necessary only when using a USB Wireless LAN adapter.
These settings must be the same as the settings on the access point (the Wireless LAN router) you are using.
* The settings below are not necessary when using a Wireless Game Adaptor.
* The illustrations and displays as shown in this guide are for instructional purposes only, and may appear somewhat different from those on your
instrument. The display shown in this guide is taken from the CVP-409.
Select the item by using the [DATA ENTRY] dial and [ENTER] button, then press the [1 UD] button to set the item.
To save the settings, press the [7 UD] (SAVE) button.
To cancel, press the [8 UD] (CANCEL) button.

Wireless networks
Determines whether or not Wireless Networks are displayed.
SSID Determines the SSID setting. (SSID is an identification name for
specifying a particular network over a wireless LAN connection.)
Channel Determines the channel.
Security Determines the security.

WPA-PSK (AES) WPA2-PSK (TKIP) WPA2-PSK (AES)
Key These settings are available only when Encryption above is enabled.
Determines the same key settings on the access point (the Wireless
LAN router) you are using.
The type and length of the encryption key for the wireless network
can be automatically made.
