[VCM] EQ-1A
EQ-1A emulates a vintage EQ that is said to be representative of passive EQs. It has a unique
operation style in which the low and high frequency bands are adjusted with separate boost and
attenuation (cut) controls. The frequency response, which is completely different from other
commonly used EQs, has a character that is unique to this model. In addition, the texture produced by
the input/output circuits and vacuum tubes is very musical, for a well-balanced sound.
This plug-in operates in mono or stereo mode, depending on the channel configuration of the rack.
[IN] Switch
Activates/Deactivates the processor.
When deactivated, the filter section is bypassed, but the signal still passes through the
input/output transformer and amplifier circuitry.
[LOW FREQUENCY] Knob
Adjusts the frequency of the low frequency filter.
(LOW) [BOOST] Knob
Adjusts the amount of boost in the frequency band set with the [LOW FREQUENCY] knob.
(LOW) [ATTEN] Knob
Adjusts the amount of attenuation in the frequency band set with the [LOW FREQUENCY] knob.
[BAND WIDTH] Knob
Sets the bandwidth to operate with the high frequency filter.
The more you turn it to the right (Broad) side, the wider it becomes and at the same time the
peak level drops. It affects only the characteristics on the boost side.
[HIGH FREQUENCY] Knob
Adjusts the frequency of the high frequency filter. It affects only the characteristics on the
boost side.
(HIGH) [BOOST] Knob
Adjusts the amount of boost in the frequency band set with the [HIGH FREQUENCY] knob.
(HIGH) [ATTEN] Knob
Adjusts the amount of attenuation in the frequency band set with the [ATTEN SEL] knob.
