About Brass Resonance Modeling
The unit features Brass Resonance Modeling™ technology developed by Yamaha. This exclusive
technology uses modeling to correct the sound when played with the Pickup Mute™ to match the
resonant characteristics of a brass instrument played without a mute. The resulting sound has a
comfortable resonance that reduces the stress often experienced when playing with a mute.
* To experience the full Brass Resonance Modeling™ effect, make sure that the left and right
sides of the earphones/headphones are positioned properly.
* When a Brass Resonance Modeling™ compatible Pickup Mute™ (PMX Series) is connected to
the unit and the power is switched ON, the most suitable mute setting is recalled and the red
indicator lights in one of the following patterns.

Flugelhorn

About the Auto Power Off Function
In order to prevent unnecessary power consumption, the unit is equipped with an Auto
Power Off function that automatically switches the power OFF if no signal is detected from
the MUTE IN jack for 30 minutes. If the power is off due to the Auto Power Off function, slide
the power switch to the OFF position and then back to the ON position again (reboot).
